1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. FEB 24th

Seems like I am now moving this to a weekly gathering. EVERY FRIDAY or SATURDAY I will open up my place for some playtime.

reply to this thread to keep me up to date on anyone that wants to join.

    February:
    1st Round 2/10: COMPLETE
    2nd Round 2/16: COMPLETE
    3rd Round 2/24: Starts at 10am

    Setup:
    Location: Azusa, California
(30 minutes from Los Angeles and 30 minutes from Orange County, 30 minutes from Riverside)
between the 210 and 605 freeways
    Setup will be as follows:
    1 65 inch 1080p hdtv
    1 20in with possibility of 4 monitors

    2 PS3 systems
    4 Joysticks
    2 VF5 games

So with a body count of over 10 we need some KIND Socal players to bring some more Ps3's, games, and joysticks.

Please let me know what you are willing to bring so I have an idea what to expect. This is turning into something HUGE and I guarantee some great fun.

    Bring:
    Yourself,a PS3, a copy of game, and Joysticks/Controllers

This will be a great way to get some much needed playtime before Socal Tournament #2

I am also opening this up for anybody that is willing to come to this gathering. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN SOCAL to join this event. I especially send out an invitation to Team Nocal. Maybe we can start a rivalry since your scene is growing as well

Who's gonna be there? Well, in the past we've had some of the best that Southern California has to offer - any one of them could make a return visit: akiralove, andy, Joey, Catherine, Plague, Team Tokyo Mafia (PhoenixDth, Sean, GoatCheeseBlues), Ken_I, Exile, SillyWilly, KTallguy, CaliJared, David Lau, THE_WALL, snapz, sirphobos, Lawrence, Paolo, Tierzo, Riona, FatalRose, Matt_K, Type Tenchi, Banes, Mindscan, Whoa_its_Eric, Mike90210, vf5akira, Gribbly and Team Pandemic (Austin, Forrester, Jimmy), and many more!

Who will show up so far:
    El_Brisal73
    BiteMe
    PhoenixDTH
    Plague
    Catherine
    Fatalrose
    Matt_K
    Celestial
    GoatCheeseBlues
    Pushku
    Ironjunkie
    Andy

Hey everyone! I have an event that I pre-registered for going on this Saturday, but I'll try to make it if I can leave in time. I'm not positive whether or not I'll be able to come though.

bad news guys, the asshole of the inspector came back with the sheriff and kicked everyone at the arcade at 10pm. So AI officially closes at 10pm now (again). Because of this, the owner is highly considering selling or closing the arcade, it doesnt seem continuing the business as an option is looking to good now. He already sold off his VF5 equipment to Tom and has another RAP3 for sale if anyone is interested. Also a 20gb PS3 for sale too. Seems like the owner finds maintaining arcade versus curfew laws too much of a headache.

    tentative R.I.P. - arcade infinity.

Hello! If anybody who'v seen me remembers, I'm Nyawu from cal poly pomona (currently moved back to LA). I been to AI a few times and played a few games of evo and ft with some people here I think.

I was wondering if there's any any players around west la (or UCLA area?) Currently I'm without a car, so my only way to get around is by busses (which unfortunly at night decreases in frequency so going to AI at night is too much of a hassle then it should be)

Arcade Infinity is pretty much done in regards to VF.

We seem to gather at someones place. If you can find a carpool buddy then do it. I can also pick up at the Pasadena train station. I believe its the gold line off of the 210 freeway

    Check into it

Ah... that's sad news for AI.

As for the pickup offer that sounds do-able, but I can't seem to find the 210 near the gold line....

If you know it, which stop on the gold line is the one you're talking about? >_<; Sorry. *is brain dead when it comes to the rail since I never take it*

Ah. Let's see... it'll take about an hour something by rail. Not too bad I guess, considering the 2 and half hours it takes me to go all the way to cal poly.

Alright, I'll see if I can clear up some time to goto one of those gatherings. The info for them is in that post you made up there right? The one with
    "February:
    1st Round 2/10: COMPLETE
    2nd Round 2/16: COMPLETE
    3rd Round 2/24: Starts at 10am
    "

Around what time does it usually "end"?

^ ^ Anyways, thanks for the directions help. Hopefully I'll make it to one of those gatherings soon.

    Wow.

Can I have a cross street (or just PM the addy) of where your house is then? I want to see if there's a bus that goes from there back to the station, just incase I want to leave before 6 or something without bothering someone for a ride in the middle of vf-ing.

Also, are there any fellow newbie-ish vf players going to those? =P I'll feel lonly if I'm the only one getting the mad beatdown.

    They'll be alot, don't worry.

SoCal crew is real nice though, they tend to be real helpful to new guys.

Alright, so I'll ask here too - anyone near the Thousand Oaks/Ventura County area? Don't hog all the talent down in the LA and Riverside areas!

I looked at the first post. Sure was a lot of text. I need things in animated GIFs to understand them.
