Well... since GLC started the Euro 2004 thread... might as well toss in one for USA vs. Poland.

    USA! USA! USA!!!!

Okay, that aside... an interesting article on how the US is essentially playing a "road game" at home, because of the large Polish population/community in Chicago, IL. Sigh, there's also some politics regarding the field...

POLAND TO HAVE PLENTY OF FANS IN CHICAGO

Despite that, US will own /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif Ya hear that GLC?!

yeah hehe stupid americans call a game that involves throwing a ball around, that they didnt even manage to make round, for "fotball" ?? ^_^ /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Uh, from now on its "yankee tossball" (toss can be both hands and feet) and football, no more "soccer" ^_^

Oooh, oooh!! I get it, I get it! Americans (YANKees) masturbate! I mean...If I didn't get it from the yankee bit, certainly I can't miss the "tossball" inference.

Well. I'm proud to say that we do. I do at least. Plenty. I don't want to speak for everyone, but surely I make up for a least several dozen of us who don't. One thing I have learned though in my trouser travels...Balls aren't necessarily spherical.

Seriously. If you don't believe me, go right ahead and see for yourself right now.

Amazing, huh? Maybe you didn't think'uh this but, the great thing about your balls & my balls is that there's plenty of room on this big beautiful planet of ours for all four of them. Wide open spaces for our balls to roam freely.

I've named my left one Steven Albright and my right one Patrick Jones.

I didn't copyright the names though, so if you feel like naming your almost certainly very different balls similarly, I can hang. Got it?

    peace.

    Football/Futbol/Soccer: USA vs. Poland -- July 11th

Alright, from now on I'll address it as Football/Futbol/Soccer everytime I mention it. To avoid ignorant american confusion and think the US is playing a friendly game of NFL rules (or maybe Arena rules?) "American" Football with Poland.

Then there's Aussie rules football too... Interesting sport, weird uniforms.

BTW, why is the European release of Winning Eleven called Pro Evolution Soccer? I mean, that's not the US (aka American) title of the game... Always wondered about that....
