Well since I got my PS3 VF5 and hate to play it with pad. I want to add a mode button to my PS2 VStick. I'm using the electronics from an broken pad. Buttons work but I just can't get the stick to work.
Both stick and buttons use a common ground.

Does somebody know what to do, a tutorial, pictures or anything that would help me?

Well I found out how to do it, stick is ready works perfectly on the test PS2 but still won't work on the PS3 even with mode button... X_X

Well nobody here helped me, but I still was able to do it.
Not that hard, just a pad circuit board, some soldering skills and a bit time is needed.
My VStick works on the PS3 with almost every usb adapter now.

Umm thanks , but to be really specific, Im trying to covert the non analog Street fighter 2 anniversary pad to work. Ive already wasted 30 bucks on coverters that dont work in that regard. Finding out MystD's method would save me alot of time.

if you have a pic of the pcb i can tell you what goes where as far as the wiring if thats what you need to know.

but as far as the pelican adapter with anniversary pad it does work since i just plugged mine in and was able to move around the xmb and press buttons to start vf5.

O Ill take a pic. Its a pretty barren card withjust a capacitor on it. Its the digital SF2 ann pad, and doesnt use a ground wire like the Dual shoc does. Right now im where the outlaw star guy is, I can move around the dpad ' buttons in the ps3 browser, but once vf5 starts , dead, no dpad action at all.

are you using the latest firmware? i am testing with the same sfa pad. i'm testing with the ryu one and a pelican adapter. it works fine. i'm in training mode right now doing pretty much all the moves with ease.

as far as a ground, the pad should have a linked common ground so you can just scrape off the black stuff on the ground of one of the buttons and you should be good to go.

ok man Ill try the pelican adapter, since its made for PS3 specifically, unlike my 3 in 1 and radio shack jammies.

I bought a ps3 compatible 3rd party gamepad for 8$ and used the electronics for my stick. Pretty easy to do.

I'm using cheap third party PS1 game pads (no analog controls) as the circuit boards for my sticks along with the pelican adaptor. I've had trouble with some PS3's not recognizing the stick sometimes, but in general I have had no troubles.
