Nice lei and lau match, i'm not gonna watch the kage vs kage one (and dont take offence) because kage v kage is usally a boring match to watch.

the reason i dont use dp is beacasue i can get down attack, which does more damage overal, plus it they techroll i can set opponet up again for another throw.

The reason why some Kage players are doing d+k instead of a light down attack, is due to the fact that if the opponent quick rolls they might eat a back stagger combo, and if they stay prone there is a slight chance to hit a light down attack after the d+k.

haha well sorry iam not flash enough for you, if you watch top japanese players there are far more safe than iam, everybody got there own style, why dont you put some movies of yourself . maybe you can show me some stylish play. sorry but i can only play to please myself.

The reason why Kage does D+k after that mentioned TFT is to encourage the Tech ROLL not the other reasons you mentioned about a back-stagger and such. If the d+k hits and they tech roll Kage has a very high potential for followup damage with all his mid kicks and varous moves that own lp, high punch and dodge. If they don't Tech after the d+k Kage gets his df+k down attack. While doing the d+k is not the most damage, it opens the door for a lot of different opportunities to end the match. Especially when you take the TFT combo your usually next to the edge of the ring or wall. Later.

I just want to reinforce what Blondie said: there is absolutely no chance to backstagger them after that combo. You can only get back staggered if you're in a face down position and after that combo, you're always face up.

The reason why [2][K] is used is because it does about the same damage as the dragon punch but recovers quicker allowing you either to get another 13 pts from a small down attack if they don't instant recover, or apply pressure if they do. If you go for a dragon punch and they instant recover after the hit, you've basically thrown away your huge advantage.
