Some moves are hard to pull off with the 360 contr

I used to be a pad player until I started buying games on the 360. Now I play stick for every game except Tekken (which I refuse to play on a 360). The 360 d-pad is the worst default controller to play fighting games with, hands down. Even the modded pads aren't that great, although the custom mods that put a PS3 d-pad on the 360 aren't too bad... just not worth the $150 or so it'll cost you.

 

Yah, that kind of money would be better off spent on a stick.

My last controller crapped out on me. so i bought a new one, since i haven't been playing vf5, i have yet to carve it up.

I can back up the 360 pad, actually.

I use it on default setting except for one button: RB

I use Akira, and while I'm not insanely good at the game (I'm new to VF still) I can still perform all of his attacks without problem. (I changed the aforementioned RB to K+G in order to perform the KNEE, works great).

So I say give your 360 pad more of a chance before you spend money you might not need to spend.

I personally have nothing against sticks, I just prefer pads.

You can perform all Akira's attacks without a problem on pad eh? Can you do 1 frame knee's 75% of the time? Can you do instant standing double palms? Can you.... 1 frame knees?

There are people that can do it. I've seen it in person (PS2).

Are we talking about the same pad here?! I thought he was using a 360 controller like it says in the name of the thread, not a PS pad.
