According to Dorimaga, you can win team emblems from opponents to use. That pic shows it happening.

Urm, these are the same ones from gamewatch that already spawned a few nasty threads on this board.

Well, they're new to me. Last time I paid attention to people debating the quality of the port-to-be, someone was commenting about the lack of rain in Lau's stage, which can now be seen.

I wonder... not trying to start anything, but what's AM2's aversion to making an Xbox vesion of Evo? Is there a reason why VF4 will never be seen on Xbox? Just curious... or is it a money/exposure thing due to PS2's huge base in Japan?

I think the question you should be asking is "why would AM2 want to do an Xbox port?" In Japan, the Xbox isn't doing well compared to GC and especially PS2. There just isn't much of an incentive for Sega to do an Xbox ver in Japan when PS2 port has much more potential to sell more copies.

Even though Xbox is seems to be doing well in the US, Americans simply don't like VF so there's not even much incentive to bring it to the US where an Xbox ver would be more likely to sell. I've even heard rumors (probably on this board but I don't remember) that Sega of US might not even bring PS2 Evo here. That would be a shame if true.

So what you have is a poor Xbox market coupled with a large and strong PS2 market in Japan. Then you have US gamers' apathy (hatred?) toward VF in the states where the Xbox is doing well. And you have to consider that Sega is still trying to recover financially, so they would need to put their top games on system(s) that have the largest percentage of the market. Right now, that market is PS2.

Notice I said nothing about the gfx/cpu capability of any of the systems as I doubt it was much of a factor for the Evo port.

Personally, I'd like to see Evo or any VF4 on GC. However, I don't see that happening either. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

American gamers don't hate virtua fighter. They don't know virtua fighter. Since most of the gaming that goes on in America is console or PC based and for several years the dominant console was the Playstation where the dominant fighter was some manifestation of tekken, we have a situation where the majority of fighting game fans in America know and enjoy tekken. If Sega continues to put out excellent virtua fighter titles for systems sold in America (they will) and if tekken continues to be tekken (it will), the proper balance and order in the Universe will eventually be reestablished and we'll all have more people to beat up properly on a daily basis.
