a friend of mine told me this combo but i don't know if it works. akira's knee, [P], akira's knee, [2_][4][6][P]. my friend said that this should be tried on light and middleweights. on middleweights on a counter hit. and lightweight either normal or counterhit. if sombody could try this and get back to me because i could not do it. it would really help me out if someone could try it and see if it works. thanks /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i personally think you have to be god to pull off knee consistently, so no, i will not try it.

Really? How many gods do we have in the world?

The combo works on Aoi on counter if done with no frame loss.

    Maddy,
    [4][6]+[P]-->[2]+[P]-->[3][3]+[P]-->[2_][4][6]+[P]

    is an impossible combo. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Ok, maybe not a god, but i still find it way too difficult to be used as a stable move, let alone a combo starter. then again, i could just be a big noob /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Edit- And dandy, dlc and spod are so darn easy to do, standing double palm not so much, but still nothing compared to knee.

a perfect double palm imo is much more difficult to do than knee, but both (and all of akira's moves) come very easily with practice.

[4][6]+[P] --> [2]+[P] --> [3],[3]+[P] --> dblplm is a dificult one to pull off in game thanks to stance dependance, I like to do it though, it looks cool to have three powerful moves like that in a short combo.

knee --> [P] --> knee -->. dblplm . Isnt the akira staple combo more powerful than this? Though it would be flashy to do in a battle, unless whack weight dependance.

yoho , [P,] [P], [P], dlblplm --> I find this hard to do without a wall Anyone got some help on this one?

yoho p k dblplm is also a pain in the butt. P+K to replace the punch works well though.

    I put up stuff here:

    http://virtuafighter.com/versuscity/favlinker.php?Cat=&Entry=2253&F_Board=training&Thread=104269&partnumber=1&postmarker=

    yoho/knee > p > knee/knee > dbpm

does better damage than the standard

    yoho > p > shrm > dbpm

    stpm > LP > yoho > dbpm

requires open stance and a slight delay (dash) before the LP...works on a handful of chars.

    Yoho > p > p > p > dbpm

is really just a flashy combo (damage isn't as good as other combos) but the way to do it is fast [P][G]s and "instant" modified dbpm. I know you play on a pad Vith but I find it hard enough on a stick so no idea if you'd be able to pull it off consistently well on a pad, even with a lot of practice.

LM_Akira is always a help hehe. On a regular hit is there much stance / weight dependance on the knee --> [P] --> knee ---> dblepalm?

there is no stance requirement, but it would be helpful to try this in open foot position. it just takes precise timing and skill to pull this combo off. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    On normal hit

    yoho/knee > p > yoho/knee > dbpm

is very tight and I think it only works on Aoi for 82 pts. I think open is best to try it in, not tested it for a while tho, may also work on Pai and may just work in closed not sure.

thanx for the info. i'm going to try it today. also i should mention that i got my knee, p, knee, dblplm to finally work. i tried for like half an hour. i did it in closed foot, but with difficulty and tight timing. in open foot it works much better. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think that in general Knee gives better initial float and yoho gives better refloat. Also, floats seem to be better if yoho or knee hit farther away, close to their maximum range.

I got normal hit closed stance
knee, [P], [3][3][P], [2_][4][6][P] hit against Aoi, Pai, Vanessa, Sarah, Goh, Lei. In Lei's case, CPU teched practically the same instant DbPm hit, but damagecounter still recorded 82. That was closed stance. In open stance the combo hit only Aoi and Pai.

Practically against anybody else than Aoi and Pai, I think that the knee has to hit close to maximum range (not that knee has much range anyway).

    Normal hit
Yoho, [P], knee, DbPm is more difficult, I got it at best only against Pai, and only in closed stance. Against Aoi it works in both stances.

That's what I could pull off.
