Who here wants to bet that the 360 version will have identical graphics, a full blown tutorial like VF4Evo and a a full featured version of VF.TV?

Even if they do add all that stuff into the 360 version, I'll be able to rest easy knowing that I got VF5 six months before it came to the 360

true.. we'd be able to destroy all the 360 players by that point.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I've heard that 360 VF PS3 is a B-version and the 360 is a C-version (I didn't even know what the hell is that mean /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif )
But I'm sure that PS will follow up w/ another newer version like VF4 Evo to Final Tuned...well maybe?

Just get both. If you can afford a PS3 then surely you won't grudge buying the game now to have it 6 months earlier and then getting it again later?

    That's some pretty faulty logic.

You're forgetting the absence of the VSHG.

Yeah it kind of assumes you have money to burn.

I don't, but I'll definitely be buying the 360 one as well when it's out.

doa4 stick is really under rated guys, you should go out of your way to get one as it's the best stick for 360 and it's super cheap. And yes it's made by hori, so you know it's a quality stick... best stick i ever used next to VSHG. i am glad i own 2.

If what you said is true, you need to try more sticks out.

It's not that bad, granted. But it's not that great either.

It's more than fine if you don't want to pay more for a higher grade stick. And if you feel you do fine with a certain stick that's great. That said however, you can't claim a lower grade product is better than others when it clearly isn't.

^abcd, the parts used are cheaper than some other options, that's the main thing.

Well, first of all, the stick and buttons used in Doa stick and VS:HG are completely different.

There must be a reason why arcades use sanwa parts instead of hori parts.

If it's just sending the commands perfect, then $10 pelican sticks or pads will work.

It's like why would anyone buy BMW's instead of buying a bike or a Ford.

heh, kind of a bad analogy there, BMW's aren't all they're cracked up to be. I think most people buy them because they care what other people think, and having an expensive, status symbol car makes them feel good about themselves. If one wanted to buy a BMW to get up on a mountain road and enjoy the finely tuned sports care nature of the machine (while it lasts), that'd be one thing, but I don't think most BMW owners give a shit about that, do you? If they did, you could buy a much more potent sports car for much less money like the Lotus Esprit @40K, whereas one of my friends just paid 55k for his new 3 series. If they cared about value, fuel economy, the environment, durability etc, they'd look elsewhere. JP Power rates the 2006 BMW 7 series (their flagship) as a 3 out of 5 for "Initial Quality", but a 5 out of 5 for "Appeal".

Sadly, I think maybe this has become the case with the VSHG. I will say the one really appealing thing about the stick is the ability to change out the parts easily, with no soldering etc (which is why I'm getting one). But, after all the WILD hype about how godly the stick is, I was pretty underwhelmed when I sat down with a few of them last weekend. It's a nice stick, but it's not the revolution in fighting game control I was expecting (as in "BEST STICK EVER MADE HOLY SHITTTTT!!!!). The only stick I ever used that really struck me as a step above was the one built by Catch22 for IMF back in the Evo days.

like Rod, I like the DOA4 stick. Maybe it won't last as long, but it works perfectly fine to me, and feels just as nice as the VSHG functionality wise. I think the VSHG got hyped up when people realized that they couldn't get their hands on it easily.

That's pretty much why I picked the analogy, and included both a Ford and a bike....

I will have to say though, right now the only USB sticks out for VF5 right now is the RAP3 and the VS:HG. Sadly, RAP3 has problems with processing input, thus making VS:HG the best buy for anyone who cares.

But if you really look at the stick as you put it akiralove, you are right. The people who care will probably swap out the part despite them being sanwa parts. For the same amount of money, you can probably build a custom stick that's much nicer in terms of layout etc...

But part of the draw of the VS:HG is that it's a Sega made stick, and it is very well designed both aesthetically and functionally. I don't really think it has much to do with the fact that it was hard to get, but the hype for it especially from fighting game communities like VFDC over the design and parts made it what it is today.

The real connoisseurs of sticks will most likely not think very much of the VS:HG, but for the majority of people who wants what you referred to as "status symbol," the VS:HG more than fulfills it in terms of price and quality.

People can put alot of money into their honda civics to make go faster than bmw's, but in the eyes of most people, some loser with a cheap and used BMW will probably get more girls. Maybe that's a bad analogy lol.

Bryan, your friend got ripped off like crazy if he paid 55k for his 3-series. You should be able to get one at 40k easily (that's what I paid for mine).

Also, driving a BMW may be a status symbol today, but what you ignore is that it is a friggin' awesome car to drive. http://www.caranddriver.com/bestcars/12058/2007-bmw-3-series.html I don't know if you have driven your friend's 3-series yet, but it's like knife through butter. A Lotus Esprit, while powerful, is an uncomfortable and unpractical car. Ironically, that's why only rich people buy Lotuses--because the Lotus can be that 3rd or 4th just-for-fun car.

I know it's cool to be contrarian, but sometimes there's a reason why something is popular. People are praising the heck out of the VSHG because it is the best commercial stick available on the market, not because they think doing so is cool. Well, I guess I can only speak for myself, but you should probably too.
