i hate when somehow swayback-P comes out though >< makes things awkward after and i get infruiated when it lands as a CH cause the hits after have been guarenteed then..
also the kick is hard to time but that just makes it even funner to land

Also worth noting is that Brad can switch into stances after the first two hits of the Checkmate combo, further confusing your opponents if they start to block the follow-up repeatedly.

The more you can use moves that finish with a similar look and feel, the more devastating this combo becomes. Eg:

- PP, SR K
- P, G (to clear buffer), 3K
- K, P, K
- K, P, SR K
- 6P, SR K
- and generally using 3K often

Throwing in the swayback combo now and then will force your opponent to be defensive on reaction whenever they see a side kick from Brad. Opponent forced into being predictably defensive == victory.

 

Shit, deathsushi sighting! How is everything?

I'd just like to comment on some of your observations.

First, are your strategies referring to on hit or on guard?

I haven't tested Slipping Right to my recollection after his strings, but I do know that in general his Slipping Right is more rewarding. It's faster and crumples the opponent on any hit except for a crouching guard. I know that into stances on guard is particularly lousy because you can be interrupted by both jabs and elbows, and SR is slow. The same is true for the entrance. I've never tested either on hit except for the latter on a crouching opponent, where SL is guaranteed if the opponent doesn't struggle.

Brad's strongest entrances as far as beating opponent's attacks are LD , , PT , SB , and SB because each one of these allow you to beat the opponent's elbow retaliations with SR . LD and PT are especially noteworthy because they are the only stances that enable you to beat the opponent's jab retaliations with SL , and the former is the only entrance that allows Brad to enter Sway Back from it, though I don't believe that any of its options can stuff the opponent's retaliations.

In regards to , this can be a good option on hit if the opponent has an 11 frame jab from standing. They probably wouldn't be able to interrupt with the fastest timing most of the time anyway, and you can still stuff their low punches which are all 12 frames. After is guarded you can fuzzy guard too. Other options to consider when your jab hits are throws, , , and .

I don't know about using . I'm not sure, but the delay time for the last kick might be less than in VF4:Evo, and on guard it's -12.

And is a good move too. I'm going to look into where I can apply it more, like as an option in Brad's flowchart. I'll have to study other characters more to determine whether or not it can beat any sabaki/inashi attempts.
