even a shitty game like Soul Calibur got a petition.

Nothing wrong with the SC series that isn't just faulty execution.

If a SoulCal game went arcade first, then patch with home port, I think it would be pretty good in the end.

 

Signed and even said how namco can make the game return to the greatness that it once was. I highly doubt they'll read it, but I did all I feel comfortable doing.

This is another strike against sega as a company. They really need to step their game up. I don't know who's in charge of things like this, but they are running their fighting games in the west into the ground with their lack of support for the community.

Capcom seems to finally get this. Namco seems to have joined the bandwagon too. Maybe all the cross company workings for the Street Fighter vs Tekken game lead to sharing of some secrets. . . like SUPPORT your damn community. Fighting game fans are like rabid wolfs, you give us a slab of meat and we'll fight over it like it's the last piece on earth.

Soul Cal 5 is a safer investment then VF5FS though.

VF5 didn't sell all that well, even if it was due to factors other then game quality, such as stupid porting decisions.

SC4 sold better then any other non-SF fighting game this gen , and would have without the Star Wars crap. You gotta take that into consideration.

They do need to make an arcade version of it to avoid things like broken Hilde though.

 

Yeah SC used to be really good, glad there's a chance of the series continuing as I assumed it was dead with Namco already working on Tekken 7 and Tekken vs SF. There's so few weapons based fighters about now.

I'll sign that petition but I hope they'll bring it to the arcades first and then bring an upgraded version of that to console like they did with the first two SC games.

 

Yeah Namco works faster that Sega.

So what makes Soul Calibur shitty?

 

Sega might feel comfortable in Japan with VF at the moment. But its only a matter of time before Namco and Capcom overtake Japan as well. Sega has this stubborn dogmatic approach to their flagship FG staying in Japan. Its going to run VF in the ground eventually if they keep it up

 

Arc Sys/Aksys gets the picture as well and has made attempts at supporting the community. Also, Namco has definitely shown support for their community by admitting their mistakes (T6 lack of good training mode, forcing scenario campaign to be played, etc) and are willing to correct them. Harada-san is even asking people to follow him on Twitter and post up that way. He's making it known that he wants to see SC fans and truly see how bad the people want SC5 to drop. Follow Sega on Twitter and what happens??? <insert cricket sound>... Exactly!

 

We should keep pushing for VF too be honest. Shit do another petition based on *likes on facebook for VF. What's it going to hurt? Clicking like is like the easiest thing in the world.

 

I say we all shave off our body hair and mail it to Sega.

 

Make a sonic statue with it...
