Spiral Knights-free to play MMO

This is a free to play MMO action RPG that is a ton of fun (also pretty simple, not an in-depth theorycrafter). It plays a little like Zelda and/or Secret of Mana. Downloads pretty quick as well, about 3-5 minutes.

Just wanted to share.

 

is it another pay-to-win game?

 

Been playing it since launch and it's a super fun addictive game. It isn't a play to win game per say but if you want to play longer than what's provided daily than you have to pay. Paying isn't necessary to advance in the game. To describe this game would be PSO meets Zelda or something.

 

Sudden death,
no it's not. However, you can pay to win quicker and get items and such faster. But everything is completely achievable without paying a cent.

Anyhow, if anyone starts playing and wants any tips on how to be more self-sufficient, feel free to ask me (and i'm sure truesonic would share tips as well).

Also, if anyone from here starts playing, i'll gladly make you a complimentary 1-star sword/gun/shield/or armor, so you can start off with a piece of cool gear

Just send me a 'letter' using the in game mail, let me know 'hey this is shadow dean'. I can make static edge, or thwak hammer as 1star weapons, idk off my head what 1 star armors i can make, but if you want an armor/helm just tell me where you're at no-stars and i'll send you a 1-star something.

 

oh also add me as a friend, and i can carry you thru a tier 1 or 2 run and you'll get some easy crowns. I mean, it'll still use your energy to adventure, but i won't be dying in a tier 1 run, lol. So you'll be basically gauranteed a 8 floor run's worth of crowns and mats.

 

i just wanted to post to give this thread a bump. this game is awesome.

As soon as SR, my bro, emailed me about a free, fun, time sink that requires very little thought (hey, after a full day of working, and a killer gymtime workout, i prefer my evening activities to be purely mindless fun) i was instantly intrigued.

Well, anyways, 5-6 days worth of playtime later and i can't endorse the game enough. I'll admit, i've spent about 50-60 bucks on it (half of which has went to my brother, b/c we share ) and am starting to get a little bored, but thats just for want of them to add some new content. which they will in the next month or so.

anywho, if you read this once and thought "oh cool, i'll check it out" and never did, go check it out now. and shadowdean, if you are still playing add me.

Nice... Its seems faster than dungeon fighters... When im done with SORRV5 ill give it a try.
