Isn't it supposed to be around $150? I can't help but find that site you posted suspicious with how cheap that stick is.

 

I guarantee that's a deposit. At Game Stop, the deposit to pre-order the SFIV stick is up to $50 bucks (used to be $25 but mad people want one).

If that's not the deposit on the pre-order, I'll eat my hat.

It's a typo, for sure. Gamestop listed that very same stick with $149.99. Barnes receives the stick from Gamestop too. I guess they wanted to go for $139.99 instead of $39.99. The question is if you pre-order it for 39.99 from Barnes, if they rly get you the stick that cheap.

Yeah, it sure looks like a typo to me. I do believe the store reserves the right to change an advertised price if that advertised price is the result of a misprint or typo. They'll probably get a crapload of preorders followed by a crapload of cancellations when the bubble bursts.

EDIT: And the bubble has officially burst. I just checked the site again and it now says $149.99.

I'll add that this is the Tournament edition.

There is a cheaper version coming out as well going for $80. I've actually tested this version back in October, I'd say it was better than the Hori EX2.

Now I understand...

I got a mail from a friend that preorder (possible at the wrong price) and sent me a mail with a link asking if that price was for real.

By the time I saw the mail, the link showed the correct price of US$150 so I understood that the mail from my friend was complaining about the high price.

I wrote back to him tell him that I know that the price is a little high, but the device is high quality.
He must think that I am cheap for saying $40 is expensive.

I will call him tomorrow and tell him the bad news.
