someone sell my on why i should shell out $150.00 on the streetfighter stick. I currently got my untrusty hori ex2. I mean, i want to be talked into this, but i have to actually beleive it's worth it. Is anyone that has the low done willing to give a compare and contrast?

If it's built anything like the VSHG (the best stick in the world), it's probably worth it. It's easy to swap sticks and buttons when they wear out. It has Sanwa arcade parts installed.

If you play fighting games almost every night for hours at a time, this kind of peripheral is worth the price of admission.

$150.00 does sound freaking expensive. I would pay $100 for it. In my opinion they are just trying to milk the street fighter fan base just because of the popularity of it.

Another question that I have is how much did people pay for there virtua stick high grades. The vshg is the best out there I second what Plague said. And how are we to trust Mad Catz 90% of the perripheals they make go to the crapper. I'm not trying to sell or unsell, but trying to find out if this thing will last for years to come.

$150, I think that's around 90 - 100 squid's. I'd pay that for a decent stick... Paying the high price for a decent stick like I did with my VSHG is far better than paying 40 squids for a shit stick that barely lasts a few months.

This madcatz item is completely separate from the rest of their product line. The thing is made with all sanwa parts, both stick and buttons. It's gona be a quality stick. I agree 150 is pretty high for a factory made stick, but even if it dies out, you'll be able to replace parts/PCB with ease (Much like with the VFHG stick).

I ordered three of these, two for the PS3, one for the 360, I've played on a demo unit already and they are the best out-of-the-box sticks I've ever encountered aside from custom jobs.

Considering the prices that old HRAP2 and VSHG go for on eBay ordering three of these is not really costly at all in the long run.

If there are any leftover in a couple of months I'll probably keep a stock and use them in a dedicated custom console arcade instead of using HRAP3/EX sticks.

The way I see it is this.

My EX2 stick will die, it's just a matter of time before I start getting problems with the level or buttons.

So if I buy now a very good stick for the XBOX360 I am going to be fit for ever. In PS3 , my weapon of choice is the VSHG. And having something like that for the XBOX360 is a dream come true.

So I guess that US$150 is the cost for peace of mind.

thanks alot guys. I think i will probably go for it. Is the joystick gonna feel the same/stiffer/looser/faster/slower than the hori ex2? How much of an adjustment should i anticipate?

P.S.Lol. with the Wall. When i saw by Madcatz, it might as well have said new stick, maker: red flag productions.

I've never had an arcade stick for my console. I'm ready to start.

The actual stick will feel loose when you move it but return to neutral really quickly and won't wobble when neutral. You -can- tighten/loosten sticks, but it can be a pain.

The buttons are what you're gona like instantly. They will destroy the quality of buttons on the EX lol.

You can also buy the standard (and cheaper) model for $80. I don't know the total difference between the two but I think the low end model does not use actual Sanwa parts while the high end model does.

    I've tested the $80 model

Is that stick easy to mod like the TE? If it is then I'm done for buying one of those to play on and the TE just for show.
