Subjugator to High King question. The FAQ really confuses me!!!!!

First of all, I've searched this site as well as read the Ranking FAQ thoroughly and I'm still a bit confused, as the explanation is a bit weird.

My question is, when I get to Subjugator, what exactly do I do to get to the High King branch?

In the Ranking FAQ, it states "At Grand Master or Subjugator rank, you will get to go off to 2 different branches again. Collect +12 victory points, you will advance to Demonlord. Defeat 10 same rank opponents consecutively, you will get Stormlord instead."

Isnt that really confusing, coz previously it said that defeating 1 same rank opponent is one victory point, so won't you always defeat 10same rank opponents before you earn 12 victory points?

Is this a typo? I'm getting really anxious coz I'm up to Vanquisher and stopped playing coz I dont want to do something wrong and get trapped in the lower branch of Emperor.

So what do I have to do to get into the higher branch of High King from Subjugator?

You have to defeat 10 same rank opponents consecutively. Without losing. Got it? Stuff like this has been asked a lot over the past weeks so you really could have found the answer yourself if you tried....

You can lose to anyone below Stormlord/demonlord, or a High King or Emporer... but yeah, someone asked this five days ago... listen to Godzilla's advise or use his link on that thread... the options are limitless...

Yeah if you lose one match to anyone you automaticly have to start over. When I was at stromlord I didn't realize that so I had to start over twice. It really stinks though.

You are both wrong. To go up the ranks only matches against same ranked opponents count. So you can lose against other ranks (except 10th Dan [6] Hero, Hero [6] champion - but that's not the point here).

Starting at Demonlord / Stormlord you also have to watch out not to lose two consecutive times against other Demonlord, Shadowlord, Battlelord, Stormlord, Thunderlord, Dragonlord rank opponents or you drop down. One loss against a same ranked opponent and the counter for ranking up starts at zero. 10 consecutive victories against same ranks to move up (20 for Dragonlord [6] High King / Battlelord [6] Emperor).
That's not so hard to understand, isn't it?

I'm feeling the urge to make a Ranking FAQ FAQ......

Well I think you are wrong because when I lost to a conqueror I had a ranking match and I never lost once.

All i can say is that the FAQ is correct and that it always worked for me. I recently got to High King again with Vanessa and experienced nothing unusual.
I don't want to start a fight here but it's more than likely that you made a mistake somewhere.
If there was an error in the FAQ, wouldn't you say that more people would have complained by now?

I've got it. I understand now. There wasnt a mistake in the FAQ, just a part that it didnt elaborate on that confused me.

    Thanks for your help.
