This is a free to play game that might interest some of you while waiting for VF5FS. The game has existed for a while, but it has gone F2P today/yesterday on Steam.

SuperMNC is a blend between MOBA and Third Person Shooter, and in my opinion they kept the good parts about MOBA and took away the bad parts.

Typical MOBAs are DotA, LoL and HoN. If you don't know what any of those acronyms stand for, then good for you! Please keep on reading.

    Differences from typical MOBA:
-You don't buy items during matches.
If you ever change your items to get sidegrades (there are no upgrades), you always do so before the match. Once the match has begun, you fight from beginning to end.

-No point-and-click like those computer games from the 40's anymore. It all plays in third person with guns, more guns, swords, and a spiky bar stool...

-Only two lanes instead of three.
In typical MOBAs you have two suckers in the top lane, two suckers in the bottom lane, and a 12 years old leetkilla in the middle who is so amazing that he carries the whole team to victory on his own!!!!!!!! None of that here.

-No more hiding behind turrets like a coward.
Turrets can kill quickly and save your life, but you can't use them to play a range game constantly because of how the maps are designed. There are walls in front and/or behind every turret. It's clever and it leads to more actual fighting and much less baiting.

    Some other good stuff...
The matches don't last as long and mistakes are less earth-shattering, so there should be less frustration and elitism all around.

Some characters barely require any aim at all, so if you are not so great when it's time to aim with a computer mouse, these characters make the game more playable for you.
On the other hand, some characters require more precision or a more careful type of play, so the game can please those who seek a challenge too.

It has a pretty good fan-made information guide.

Personally, I always liked the idea of MOBAs, except that in all of them you are expected to play smart, never make mistakes, and never initiate a fight unless you have a decisive advantage. You are expected to play like a little daisy.
This is the first actual MOBA I have seen that steers away from that extreme daisy philosophy. Here it's not the end of the world if you took more than you could chew. Just don't do it again 10 times in a row.

I suggest this game if you never played MOBAs before or you liked the idea but never understood the fun in having to play like a little daisy.

I just started playing it today and I get the impression that it's the kind of game that gets too repetitive after a few weeks or a few months. It still seems worth playing while the fun lasts, though!

I preferred the original, better pace, funnier.
