Swedens first gathering

We haven't had the game for very long but we had our first gathering with me, jeneric, schaufel, nybec, mash, madadam and two new guys from Örebro last weekend. I'll be putting the replay files up in the replaysection later on (I really want more replays god damn it) but thought people would appreciate some media as the site is kinda sluggish right now. We took these replayfiles on Saturday before the gathering had to break up. Sweden (Nordic region in general) is sort of in a tough spot right now as not many have affored the PS3 so many of the top / oldschool players have fallen or are waiting to affored a machine.

P.S; I couldn't be bothered to add on new music on all the movies - GoW2 got released here two days ago and I'm really enjoying it \p/

LOL! What a fucking mashfest! Yea let's see that pai doing pppb+k / pppd+k guessing game again. d+p blocked, keep on attacking... k blocked, keep on attacking... pppd+k starts the round FTW!! LOL! He's a dick. You must get them in Sweden dude, but take heart in the fact that you have a better grasp of your second language than he does his first.

Think Scandinavia, after Japan, has probably got one of the best cultures for playing videogames. Schroet Kommando.

First of all, thanks for those who have given friendly, or constructive, comments in this thread - I really really appreciate it. It was work after all to make these vids happen.

Don't get your pants in a mess though, I sort of expected something like that from Shang (or someone else) and almost didn't want to put up media in the first place. That's just great isn't it? Exactly what this site needs - less posting. I can say right out now that I know for instance Akira users would love to see certain vids that the Finns have done, Manjmaru steps better with Akira then any video I've seen so far (honestly) in total and his movement made my jaw drop. But he specifically doesn't want material posted on VFDC, can you guess/understand why?

I love how it becomes an angle of attack to state certain things, that the game had been out for less then a month and some have had it less then that (or even at all). Is it hard to understand why someone would fall for a new attack from a character they don't play under those assumtions for instance? What would it be if it was the opposite, someone sticking out their own chest calling themselves good... someone,.. like,.. you?

Since you constantly look down on what others do or try to do you must do so from a position of superiority, must you not? Are you a strong player Shang? No wait, I asked you and don't play this question down - are you a STRONG player Shang? Maybe you should go over your own Kage videos from the Socal Event and try to analyse them instead for the greater benifit of, well, all (even yourself). Do you post good advice on this site then since everyone's is faulty? Do you? You should almost get a lifetime achievment award for not posting anything constructive in a decade. You see - once you've heard something said so many times it's just a nuisannce. Noob, check. Suck, check. It's really really sad that you've bid your time, hoping this thread would go away or something without many reponses but once you've seen enough positive responses you feel you have to do something about it and piss in it. And the way you do it by is just cause it's me. No it's not sad, it's utterly pathetic.

I've never said I'm a good player, I'm learning Pai and I know weaknesses I have - I could list them for you if you wanted. I however doubt that would give you the gratification you're seeking. Your problems lie within.

Anyways; Swedens situation is sort of looking up right now. We have one homegathering in Sthlm coming up with many fresh faces but the most fun thing is we've managed to get into a multigathering with VF5 later in June. This could really be awesome as there are sponsors involved etc and Gears of War will be played there (so hopefully we'll be able to do positive PR for VF before the 360 version drops). Then there's probably the huge Versus gathering late summer, I just want details of the date and so on asap to start posting about it. Those who attended here last year (like Jide and Ryan) were very positive about it so hopefully we can have an even bigger international attendance this year.

I didn't even bother reading it. here's the sad part about you kiwe is that now if you didn't spend all these years posting garbage advices people might actually watch your replays to the end. No you never said you were a good player, that's pretty obvious. Only a moron would need to actually see you play to know you play the game on text book... that goes really well with all the advices you gave to people huh? OWNED!
