[TEA PARTY] Toronto's VF4 Final Tuning

With the impending arrival of Final Tuned in Toronto in a matter of days, I thought I would get the ball rolling for a new thread of Toronto VF goodness.

There seems to be some new and interested people, and I know the old guard is excited about a new round Final Tuned VF fun.

From what I gather, we should have some new competition in <font color="orange">Mall</font>, <font color="orange">b4k4</font>, <font color="orange">SHE</font>, <font color="orange">cheatah</font>, <font color="orange">Masahiko</font>, <font color="orange">iron_fist</font>, <font color="orange">Klif</font>, and I'm hoping that <font color="orange">DashEWGF</font> comes out more often now that our play will be arcade centric for a while.

With Plasma, BMF, GodEater, Shroud, kbcat, myself, and some new faces, the Toronto VF scene is looking good, imo. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Reno, we will miss you for now - maybe Christmas you'll be back for some holiday bashing? Additionally, it's a shame the Rochester connection is defunct, however the rivalry will continue overseas! Keep those boys in line over there, Reno!

Reno told me Toronto was getting FT, and that he heard it from you. Which arcades are getting it?

I'm so bad... always letting my VF4 skills fade away. Still, with the SC2 scene pretty much dead, and with what looks like an expanding VF4 scene... who knows.... maybe I'll stick with it for once...

Only one arcade is getting it -- the Metro Square arcade near steeles and warden. They should have it by the end of the week -- Llanfair knows the owners and has pestered them into getting FT (he did the same thing with EVO).

Definitely come on out -- the more the merrier.

Take the steeles east bus from finch station. It takes you right in front of metro square. Its just right past the IBM building, you'll see bubble tea place and net cafe across from where you need to stop. The arcade is just in the mall right upstairs by the middle entrance.

 

[TEA PARTY] Important FT update for TO

Ok, here's the deal. I was talking to Vince tonight, they recieved their kit today and went to set it up this evening. However, they hit a snag -- piece is missing from their kit and they need to get the missing piece shipped from Japan (ASAP of course) before they can get FT up and running.

This means -- NO FT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. So don't bother going to Metro tomorrow or this weekend, you'll just be disappointed (like I am -- I was so itching to play). I'll let everyone know more, when I know more.

He didn't say. Apparently FT is more than just popping in a new disc as you have to upgrade the Naomi2 firmware as well. I can only assume what he needs to update the firmware was missing. Let's hope he gets it fast.
