hi everyone I am new to virtura fighter . I started to play a coulple of weeks ago at funland. I was wondering if anyone know any other locations other then funland and metro square

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure there are other locations, but only Metro Square has FT -- the latest edition of VF (I think Metro Square is the only place in NA right now that has it!).

If you want competition, Metro Square is the place to be right now.

yes, that's right...Retro. Shroud, GodEater (me), Kbcat and Llanfair are all going to be playing through the old boards (vf1 - VF3tb) at my place and you (yes YOU!) are welcome to join us if you're up for that sorta thing.

time is tentatively scheduled for 8pm to give us all time to survive the FT Madness on Friday.

post here if your name isn't on the list above but you want it to be.

SC2 EXODUSSSSSS!

Edit: Anybody want to play some FT at Metro tonight? I'll be staying at my friend's place, which is about a block away, until Sunday, so I'll be right around there if anybody wants to play.

Post here first if you're interested in playing tonight, but you can also try my cell at 416-407-5343.

P.S.: I suck at VF. Really.

Re: [TEA PARTY] August 28th Retro Madness

Well, I just got back in from Metro, and to be honest, I'm surprised I did as well as I did. I'll definately be sharpening my skills again, and you guys can probably expect to see me down at Metro every Friday. Or at least, I'll make a good effort (I'm not giving up my life for VF /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif).

I got to meet some people I hadn't met before (kbcat, Plasma), saw Owen, and was repeatedly beaten by a Lion player who I didn't catch the name of /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. He was my nemesis for the night.

Well, I went 3 and 1 with Plasma, which is apparently impressive, so I'm pleased with myself. Unfortunately, my record against everyone else wasn't so impressive. I'll be fixing that soon, though.

Anyways, enough with this rant. Good games with everyone tonight (this morning), and I can't wait to get in some more matches.

P.S.: Of the people who played me/watched me play... which character seemed most promising when I was playing them?

Okay, Just to let everyone know the retro party in still on and still at my place: I've set the time to 9:00 tonight to avoid groups of people on my porch asking each other, "you're sure this is the right house".

I'll be home before that time, I think. Projector is already set up.

Scarborough Gathering

Mall held a small gathering today for we. the Scarborough SC2 players today. More specifically, Mall, Stryder, and myself.

It's really funny watching Stryder play VF, because he plays it exactly like he plays SC2, which of course, doesn't work all the time. Like trying to step throws.

/versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

He had to take off early, and I got in a lot of matches against Mall. We started off with Goh vs. Sarah, and were going match for match, untill he completely figured me out, and then we were like, 7-2 after that point. So I switched to my Wolf. It was pretty rough. I think I went 9-3 against him. So he's felt the real power, and I think he's gone back to school.

He promised that won't happen again.

September 12th or September 18th - Sunday FT Free Play Madness

This is something that we have done in the past with Evo and it was well accepted. I'm hoping to do the same with FT and that the response will be as good.

Sunday Free Play Madness will be an opportunity to come out and play FT - but there's a catch. The day will be broken down into a couple parts. One, earlier on, the machine is dedicated to a VF Workshop - this is an opportunity for everyone to try out combos, setups, testings, etc. This usually lasts a couple hours and is quite useful in developing one's game. Following this, the play shifts to a more gathering like style with people challenging back and forth. Lastly, time permitting and people willing, we run a mini-tourney for fun.

Often we all chip in $10 to get the machine on Free Play for the entire day (noon til close).

So, here's the first dates to decide upon.

1. Sunday, September 12th.
2. Sunday, September 19th.

Please respond with yay or nay and let me know if you've got other ideas, etc.

.cheers.

P.S - Who's up for Friday FT Madness this Friday night? (September 3rd)

Is anyone driving to/from Metro tomorrow, who could give me a lift at least out to Ellesmere? There are no blue night buses running around Warden/Steeles around that time of night, and I'll have to get home...somehow...

I can give you a lift later tonight for your way home.

Heading out now. Maybe I'll bump into Stryder. I'm beginning to think that BMF is scared now.
