    Hi, new here

Since everyone over here seems to be a hardcore fighting enthusiast could you recommend which one I should purchase : Tekken 5 or DOAU?

I dont have XBOX live for Xbox and the other fighters I have loved are VF4: Evo and the Original SC. Haven't played the other entries in Tekken or Doa series.

    Thanks.

DOA plays similiar to VF but the counter system is too simple and way too damaging. Only reason to get DAOU is to play online IMO so get Tekken 5.

Tekken 5 has alot more depth and a giant roster to fool around with.

Tekken 5 is amazingly well done and has made me like NAMCO again. Tekken 4 was garbage and made me go back to playing Tekken Tag Tournament exclusively. Tekken 5 has brought the series back from the grave.

Tekken 5, by far. I used to be a DOA2 fan long ago, but it's so simplistic compared to T5, and especially to VF4. I do prefer DOA2 to DOA3, due to Bayman's brokeness in 3 (anyone combo with his Sidewinder move? Damn too damaging...). More characters, a (limited) customization setup with character outfits, great PS2 graphics, and an optional kick-ass arcade stick with the limited-edition puts T5 over DOAU. This is only my two-cents, tho.

T5. DOA is fun, but problem with that series is that it never evolves. DOA1 to DOA2 was a huge leap. DOA2 to DOA3 or DOAU is like, a small tiptoe. The games are identical, besides better 8-way running and graphics. the stages in the first DOA2 were much funner than the new ones, too.

Tekken 5, on the other hand, is to Tekken what VF4 was to VF. It takes a few steps backwards to regain what made the originals so goddamned fun in the first place, while completely revamping the character's movelists to make the game feel new again. And oh lord, if it doesn't look fantastic. <3
