    Well, where do I start?

Had there ever been any hint of doubt in my mind that we might not have been able to use the main room I wouldn't have let anyone come. I would have either found a new place to hold it or called it off. We've held every Manc meet there for the past year and had no trouble whatsoever. The Receptionist (Sue) and the Caretaker (Richard), well, I've known them for a full year now and it seems they've lost all faith in my from what happened.

I repeat we've used the room before with permission and never had any probs. I asked Richard at the start of the week if it were possible to set up a few playstations in the tv room and have a group of friends around to play them and he said yeah, he saw no problem with it. No idea when or why he decided to change his mind about things.

Claims there was 10 phone calls made to him at night complaining about noise...said people were terrified to even come in and complain and I think that's a load of bull. Had anyone come in we would have kept things quieter but even then I can't see how we were so loud...outside of the tv room you couldn't really hear us at all.

Sue's main prob was that people had been asleep in there I think...I did try explain to her that most had actually been up all night sorting things out but she wasn't having any of it...I kept the room clean and tidy and as I saw it nothing else could have been done in the situation.

I've made a list of the rules that we were supposed to have broken but hadn't and I'll put them up sometime for a laugh. EDIT here they are...

    COMMON ROOMS

The TV and Pool room are for the use od tenants only, except when they wish to socialise with their guests. Guests are not allowed to use these facilities without being accompanied by the tenant.

Please clear up your rubbish after you; again it is not the cleaner's job to do so. If you are the last one in the tv room, then please turn the tv off for safety reasons.

    VANDALISM

If any of the facilities are vandalised, then the managemnet has the right to close them.

    NOISE LEVELS

Please respect other tenants with regards to noise levels at all times. Music etc must be kept to an acceptable noise level.

    RULE 17.

Not to obstruct or allow guets to obstruct the common areas.

These are the only rules in my contract about using the common areas. No rules were broken AT ALL, tho maybe the noise levels were too high for some residents. I'm at a loss as to what rules we were supposed to have broken and why they're talking about evicting me. Everything was kept clean and tidy. I supervised everything all night. No one obstructed anything, no one vandalised anything.

All I can do is apologies from the bottom of my heart...I repeat again if there had been ANY doubt in my mind we couldn't have used the room I wouldn't have let anyone travel up for it. I still can't understand how there were so many anon. complaints about us during the night.

As for my playing, well I sucked for the few matches I had. I played a little better against Mike, Ade and Jeffahn in the earlier days but on the sat I was playing awful...sloppy and bad inputs so I was dissapointed by that.

HHHmmmm trying to salvage some good points....

Well, we had 9 hours of games...I think that's a slight positive.

It was good meeting all you guys properly and putting names to faces.

Random and VO I think you're the nicest guys I've ever met in the scene. I'm only sorry I didn't talk to you more. Oh and VO, there's plenty of girls who wear skirts that short in manchester LOL. I hope you got some decent matches saved Random...shame my Akira was playing up so badly when I played you.

Jericho, you're a really cool guy man and I'm real sorry you didn't get to play much SF (your SF skills are totally sick man) and I'm sorry I couldn't put up a decent fight against you. Rest assured if we ever play again sometime I'll have been in training for you. Sorry you had nothing to do for a while but we did have a further 2 tvs on the way on the sat. I know you're more dissapointed about things that most and I spent quite a while chilling with you so my biggest apology probably goes to you, sorry dude.

Leeds boys thanks for saving the saturday.

KS, you're a cool guy man, I had a good laugh with you. The mission to find chicken was a good one, don't think Sangams has ever been that busy with just one order ever! Didn't play you but you're a really sound guy.

IronMike your Akira is nasty man, good stuff. I really went off the boil after the thursday and friday sessions but you seemed to get better, nice one. I saw you win over Ryan's Goh too, good stuff. Maybe next time I'll put up more of a fight (SF was cool too).

Ryan, you're a great guy and I'm just so sorry thing ended up like they did. Any more meets at the place are 100% ruled out and I've a feeling I'll be in for a bollocking by the actual owners (even though we haven't broken ANY rules...maybe one about noise but that's it). I was happy to scrape a few rounds of you but I was having a bad time of the inputs and sticks and you were tearing me apart when we played. You Goh was solid, your Lion and Jacky were solid, your Lau and Wolf were solid but I have to say your Akira is out of this world man, totally awesome. I missed seeing your Kage but I here it was kicking some stylish ass in Leeds.

Optimus, I hope you liked those coco pops. Oh and that night was actually quite a warm one in manchester!

Jun and Columbo...guys you are just like MACHINES!!! All night playing games to death, I felt more tired just watching you! Sorry my Akira was so crap when I played you Jun, just wasn't in the swing with things.

Jason, one match and I took one round off you...nice Lau.

Nice Sarah SS, I liked playing your Akira too...only cos I beat it LOL.

Rayne...he showed up after everyone had gone to Leeds and we played back in my room. Good stuff dude, you're playing well on a stick. So sorry you never got to meet the rest of the london crew. Your Lion is good and your Kage and Akira are pretty decent too.

Here's a list of matches I can recall getting in...

    vs Ryan Hart

    Akira v Lion 0-1
    Akira v Lau 0-1
    Akira v Goh 0-1
    Goh v Jun 0-1

    vs Jun

    Akira v Wolf 0-1

    vs SS

    Akira v Sarah 0-3
    Akira v Akira 1-1

    vs Random

    Akira v Kage 0-3

    vs VO

    Akira v Vanessa 0-1

    vs Jason

    Akira v Lau 0-1

    vs Rayne

    Akira v Lion 3-7
    Akira v Akira 6-3
    Goh v Kage 1-2
    Goh v Lion 0-3
    Akira v Lion 2-6

    vs Jeffahn

Can't recall numbers but ok matches

    vs IronMike

Yeah, won around 10 overall I reckon but you won around 40 I think.

    vs SlimAdey

I seriously reckon we were 50-50 over the 3 days. Tense lemar matches man.

    vs JerichoMPM

No idea but you were light years ahead of me on hyper. Rest assured I'm gonna take it serious from now on. (trying to track down GGX2 as well).

I still have loads more to try and say or explain but I simply don't have the energy to any more.

2 and a half months of planning came tumbling down because Richard decided 15 people is too many to have as guests or something and changes his mind...even tho we've done it before with around 22 people and everyone in the place had seen us playing and using the facilities.

What can I do but apologise prefusely and guarantee if I ever do organise anythiung again (which I probably won't now tbh) it categorically won't happen again.

    No hard feelings.

All things considered, I think it turned out rather well in the end. A bit of drama here and there never hurt anyone.

    Thanks for the reply Edward.

Talk about kicking someone when they're down tho...I spoke to Richard at the weekend and he said he was actually on my side about things. He said he knew were weren't doing anything wrong or causing trouble or anything like that it was just cos a couple of stupid drunk girls complained thinking we were asylum seekers (!!!WTF?) ... I explained it a little better on the North Uk thread. Basically, had they come in to talk to us as opposed to gone past the door and complained to Richard we could have still been in the room till late on Saturday evening. Sue was the one who wanted us out, not Richard.

Still, like you say it was a bit of drama for the weekend. Kinda like waiting for you at the train station, getting ripped off by bloody stage coach buses, playing Golden Axe (and not getting the chaos emerald in Sonic LOL) and finally meeting some of the London VF crew.

Even tho it went pear shaped, at least it was an adventure. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
