The RROD Club Thread

Thought I'd start a thread for all the RROD'ers out there (Red Ring of Death). Sorry if this isn't allowed, I rarely make topics in VFDC so forgive me if I'm wrong. Because it seems RROD almost seems to happen almost as regularly as Darth pulling.

My console was fixed about a year ago, it was going strong but wouldn't you know it... I start having freezing problems a few days ago. Last Wednesday it finally RROD'd on me so now I just sent it back to Microsoft for repair.

So tell us your stories of woe or give out condolences to your fellow 360 VF players.

Your so insensitive! Have you ever thought about my feelings Or what I'm going through? XD But in all seriousness I'm hoping to get my 360 back by Saturday or next week.

 

ahh.. I fixed mine my self..by replacing the X-clamps with screws.. no problem now.. the only problem would be dat if u play like 7 hours straight..red ring shows up..so u leave it on for 10 min and it starts working..Being working for about 4 -5 months now..NO TOWEL TRICKS>. DAT THING WILL SCREW UR BOX UP.. JUST XCLAMP AND THERMAL COMPOUND REPLACEMENT...works Like MAJIC

I got RROD too. Sent my XBOX360 in for repair but I couldn't stand not playing so I went out and bought an Elite.

The Elite rules. I'm so happy with the 120 gig hard drive, now that they enabled the full install. I have 4 games installed right now and still have 80 gigs left. It's nice because you don't have to worry about scratching your VF5 disk if it's installed on your hard drive.

If you have the money, RROD is a good excuse to upgrade.

I have my repaired 360 too, so maybe I can system link or something someday. Wish I could combine them into tres-powerful XBOX 720.

My elite lasted exactly one year to the day, Christmas day to be exact. Thanks Microsoft.

Just got mine back today but now it won't let me connect to live. Every time I do the live connection test it fails at Xbox Live. And my disc drive seems messed up as well. Thanks for fixing my 360 Microsoft but I think you broke something in the process.

Happened to me like 8 months ago. Bravissima. I just hope the current warranty lasts, or my shitbrick lasts. Otherwise I might be forced to buy a new one once this xplodes again.
