The VFDC House at Las Vegas

This is only relevant to the people attending the Evo tournament at Las Vegas. The idea i have is that we can rent a house/penthouse for the same price of renting a hotel individually.

I'd like to do this because it would be great to be in the company of talented players and people just chillin all weekend. The date is from 7/5-7/8

This is looking like it might be the cheapest option. Can we have more than 8 folks in a house? How far is it from the tournament location? I am seriously considering the trip now because housing was before, way too expensive.

 

@Wingchung_warrior just PM on here. Tell your wife its gonna be nerds cooped up in a house all weekend playing video games. It's what I told mine, lol.

@Tricky it actually is just a little bit more expensive. Consider we'd have to take a taxi to and from the tournament as opposed to having a hotel room across the street from it.

another downside that just occurred to me is say we had 8 people decide its all good. None of the houses have 8 beds, so not everyone is getting a bed and will have to find a spot.

Still though, we could also get a larger hotel room closer to Evo to share between us?

 

hmm nvm then. Probably won't work for me then.

 

So, 15 minutes by car. That is not what most people mean when they talk about distance to EVO, you might want to clarify in your first post.

I was interested until I read taxi. Everyone will want to be able to walk to EVO. How much would two taxi rides a day add up to?

 

I'd be down for this if I didn't already have a room. However, the idea of a VFDC "Salty Suite" sounds pretty awesome.

 

Yeah i figured you guys didn't figure the transportation and all the floor action that would be going on. That being said, I'm still looking for someone to share a hotel with! Hit me, frankly I'm thinking Cesars since that's where a lot of the foolery will be going down
