i guess thats what you get for trying to unite all the gangs.

 

it looks like the game will be pretty solid, kind of like a old-school beat-em up.(double dragon final fight) but i wish rockstar would try to make their next game a little less violent. sometimes I think they try to present themselves as violence shlockmeisters (does that make sense?). clearly they can make quality games, so why not try something new.

never seen the movie though, is it any good or does get too much hype, like donnie darko (good movie...entertaining but not really the college thesis ppl like to make it, imo)

 

This game has the right feel and the reviewer over at ign is spot on about everything. Rock on.

 

just got this game thru the usual channels.

all i can say is that it deserves a 9 out of ten

because it doesn't matter how much of a cult following this movie actually had. they only liked it because it was really gay and funny. not because it was a deeply thought out provocative piece of media that gave closure to the meaning of life or even where my car key's are.

it's stupid, it's a stupid idea. rockstar is gay. warriors is MOST gay. and i think anyone who buys this game, will burn in hell.

hmm. odd cuz i can think of many game rockstar sucks balls at. want a list. well these won't do you any justice considering your quite the video game guru.

but: well all of them except grand theft auto 3. after that. it was. simpily not as impressive (i'm talking grand theft auto sequels here, after part 3. not the first one, kids don't remeber that one though).

rockstar sucks. they are nothing but shock producers. max payne (owww baby dies, and we have to play through a shitty mini-game, when i have to run on-top of a trail of blood. to get to my babies crib!?) and when your in a gun fight all you have to do is hit L1 one time...battle over? sign point to yes.

state of emergency: a city wide riot (kind of contraversial.. but the game still sucked)

manhunt = total shock value. why play this when i can play tenchu? no reason.

the rest of rockstar games = huh?duh. but i thought they only made GTA3. isn't GTA3 their first game? ya. because aside from GTA1's awful camera. it was the only good one.

and yes the warriors demo sucked.

MTV has taken it upon their unholy asses to remake the warriors movie.

gone are the unique gangs
gone is the unique setting of 70s new york

now the film is gonna take place in modern LA, with REAL gangas, meaning all the stupid drive bys and hip hop related stuff going on.

and the worst news?!

the guy who made domino with keira knightly is making it.

"You'll still get the same story, but we're reconstructing the family, reconstructing the characters, and I'm doing it in L.A. The original was in New York and everything went upwards; L.A. goes [length-wise]. And instead of 30 gang members, there's going to be 3,000 or 5,000."

Scott revealed that he intends to do away with such warring factions as the Baseball Furies (a bat-wielding group of thugs dressed in makeup and MLB-worthy uniforms), the Punks (chain-wielders in hillbilly overalls) and the Hi Hats (bad-ass mimes wearing top hats). The decision, which will no doubt stir up controversy amongdie-hard fans currently snatching up newly released "Warriors" action figures at mall stores nationwide, is largely due to the director's recent meetings with actual L.A. gang members, whom he employed onscreen in "Domino" and intends to use again for "Warriors."

"I sat with all the gang members and they said, 'If you can get this movie on, we'll do a treaty between all the warriors, all the different gangs,' " Scott said proudly. "It's very different from what the original is like. I love the original, but this is a very different tone and a very different feel. The encounters will be more like 'Kingdom of Heaven.' It will be the Warriors stacking up against 3,000 gang members.

"The story is so generic, it's like these guys are at point B and they need to get back to point A," Scott said of the similarities between the two films, which will virtually end after the title, concept and name of at least one major character. "It's contemporary; it's going to look like the L.A. riots, with fires burning after Cyrus gets shot at the beginning.

"Everything else that we're doing, what I'm bringing to it, it's a different movie," he added, saying that authentic tattoo-sporting gangbangers will replace fictional organizations like the Savage Huns and the pimpish Boppers. "It will be the Bloods, the Crips, the Vietnamese, the 18th Street [Gang], all the boys. It will be all the major gangs in Los Angeles, and we're going to try to get them to stand on the Long Beach Bridge."

The comments by the "Man on Fire" director also put to rest Internet rumors that the remake would be largely martial-arts oriented, implying instead that the action will be of the bare-knuckles and drive-by-shootings variety.

Saying that he's "still a little ways off with this one," Scott insisted that no name actors had been cast. He added, however, that he is on track to roll cameras "next year."

Adding that he's got "enough outrageousness in the real people," Scott admitted that although he enjoys the flamboyant gangs in Walter Hill's original film, the Baseball Furies will be permanently stranded in the on-deck circle. So, when ill-tempered gang member Luther recites his famously taunting quote, "Warriors ... come out to play," he'll likely be confronted by a very different group.

That is if Luther  or even that line of dialogue  survive the remaking process.'

well seeing how i only saw the sequels and the music video for the first movie, at the time i thought it was the most tacky thing ive ever seen.

but no i havnt seen the first one. if its good then ill just take your word for it.
