    Does anybody play Timesplitters 2?
We could share our mapmaker ideas and discuss about the game.

I've got it, and I think it is a really good FPS to be a PS2 game. I'm struggeling to complete Siberia on hard and that DAMN shoot-the-monkeys-before-they-hit-the-dam-crap, but otherwise, it's nearly completed. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have only tried the mapmaker seriousley once, and to to some fatal errors it wasn't all that fun. Btw, you do know that there are singleplayer missions in some of the mapmaker examples? You shold check them out, I espcially like the one with the lady and the three bears /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Except for Siberia (the first level) and the robot factory, I think the storyline is quite easy. The arcade missions and the challenges can be really easy or very difficult, but as an overall, it's doable.

Hey Ryadus, what's your favourite multiplayer map/weaponsettings/bots? (you do play multiplayer, right?) Mine are Mexican (house?)/explosives/the living dead. Also Chasm/custom(all crossbows)/anyone with "one shot kills" is really fun! Favourite characters: Undead priest, the Impersonater(?) and of course
    THE MONKEY

    I PLAY TS2! Actually I'm a proud member of "TS2 Elite" since I've reached 100.0% completion. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

TS2 is the best multiplayer game ever made. End of story. I've got a few friends to play with and we never ever get bored, this game just keeps on rocking. TS2 = pure gold. A very, very important piece of video game history (not history itself tho...). A living legend. Perfect.

I play the game too!!! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif, not bored even after playing it almost year now...
Multiplayer modes I like: CTB and team deathmatch, Elimination(and vampire) is also fun. Oh well, whole multiplayer mode is damn excellent!

Favourite weapons; Plasma rifle, SBP90machine gun,SovietS47, Minigun, Homing Launcher, in that order. Flamethrower is sometimes really fun too.

Favourite story levels with two players: Siberia and Robot factory. Atomsmasher when played alone.

I have 100% of all things (expect still missing few
    platinums)

I like to make mapmaker levels with lots of action (Sentrybots with SovietS47(+2),(deadly(and my favourite) combination), usually I make them too hard and I have to edit, edit and edit some more (add armours, give better weapons)...How do you people like?
    What are your favourite enemies?
Mine are , Lawyer, Accoutant, Jo-Beth Casey (these suck in multiplayer but for some reason use weapons like maniacs in story levels), troopers(male/female), and sentry bots. In multiplayer I use quite all. Cortez is damn hard to beat in deatmatch...

We should really start sharing mapmaker ideas, I cant find any new ideas...usually my objective is "kill them all"-style, no plot, get time crystal, shoot everything that moves, escape...

btw..hard to say anything bad about the game except short story mode, hope we´ll have longer in TS3!
Damn, I wish I had more people to play multiplayer with me...

Wich difficulty setting you use? I always play frantic(handicap -10), otherwise is too easy...

Lots of (good) human players, elimination, one shot kill on, only pistols as weapons, and a level like Chasm or Hospital...TOOOO GOOOOD! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just can't emphazise this enough: TimeSplitters 2 is unreal. It's perfect.

Too bad people compare it to games like Halo, when they're actually sooo different. Both being first person shooters doesn't mean shit.

Free Radical isn't working on TS3 yet, and AFAIK they won't be either any time soon thanks to other projects... I really hope they will, personally I think there wouldn't be anything better than an online TS.

I had once elimination with sniper rifles, one shot kill. Really fun /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
Ice station is good place for this. I´ve also played half million CTB:s there /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

You're on! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif (But as much fun as that's gonna be, I'd like to play some VF against you guys too...)

It's a shame we won't be playing TS3 in the near future though... Right now I'm waiting for Gran Turismo 4 (online play, mmmm...)

It's nice to see that we have so much TS2 players here. I've already seen those TS2-site maps and they're not just my kind of maps. I love Sample maps. Especially 'Zombie lab'. It's the best zombie map I've ever seen.

My favourite Story map is Siberia. There're fun zombies and quick-shooting Special Force guys. I've played Story with Izha. When you have played the game with the 'Hard' mode enough long it's not hard anymore. It's more like normal. That's why you've to make your own maps and make sure that you won't complete them by one try.

I've made map named 'Whisky factory'. I would like to give it to you guys but how in the hell I can put a picture of my map in the internet? For me 'Whisky factory' isn't one of the easiest maps. I still can't complete it by one try.

My favourite bot set is definitely 'Living dead'. I usually use zombies or Harry Tipper in Multiplayer. What characters you use in Multiplayer or Story?

Multiplayer: Chastity (also The Colonel, Lean Molly or Aztec Warrior sometimes, but Chastity is easily my favorite char)

Style + optimal size (can't be too small if you wanna use the turrets...)

My favourite multiplayer character is Jo-Beth-Casey, just because she´s agile. Sometimes I also use zombies for fun.

btw...CTB with only plasma rifles and put one shot kill on. Fun in ice station!

Now if we ever are gonna meet up, we´ll play VF and TS2, that´s for sure /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
I sure wish I could challenge you right now, but no point on thinking it yet...

btw..do you people use your own maps in multiplayer? I have this problem of making good ones. I usually get bored after one or two matches and delete the whole map...any ideas?

Umm, the character attributes - agility in this case - don't affect human players, do they...? Bots only. I know this has never been properly solved anywhere: some people say they do affect human players, other say they don't...but as far as I know they DON'T. We've done so many tests with my brother and there are no real differences between ANY characters. And even if there were, they'd be so meaningless that there's no reason to pick your character because of those things. Me thinks... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

And yeah, I do use a couple of custom maps in multiplayer. It's amazing what you can do with the lighting etc. Takes _a lot_ of testing & tweaking before they're good enough, but when you finally create something better than the original maps - it's worth it. (Although we still don't use our own maps that much, the corridors are too wide and so on... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif)

I also think that agility, stamina, etc... won´t affect humans, but size matters. You will more likely shoot Stone Golem from a crowd than Jo-Beth /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif... or monkey.

There should be more obstacles to use in mapmaker, crates won´t give much of a cover...
Too bad you can´t create your own assault multiplayer leves, only three of them and they´re sooo good. Once I had assault that took over 30 minutes to finish!

    Played as monkey - never

Multiplayer. Remote mines. Your friend is monkey. Friendly fire damage OFF.

Throw a remote mine to the back of the monkey's head and hide yourself. Then take a look at your friends screen and be ready to detonate while he goes chasing everything that moves... Enjoy! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif
