Some Aoi player I went against last night with my Goh seemed to just substitute OM for DM in his game. It would make my full-circular miss and even make my throws whiff when trying to stop him from stepping. It was hard to compensate against cause my normal DM-killing-moves were whiffing against his OM, at least half the time.

Aoi drives me freaking crazy anyways though...

I have a hard time to beat someone who is good at attacking right after ETEG!!!
For example, I know the opponent is going to ETEG so I choose to delay attack or delay throw; However, the opponent can react immediately to use p or 2p if he gets my strategy which means I have no idea what I am supposed to do...... He can do ETEG first to defense himself and protect once again~~

You mean they hit you out of your delaying instead of doing ETEG?

Do they still hit you when you backdash(for the delay) and attack?

Whenever I'm not so sure if my opponent will 2P or ETE/ETEG I just do a backdash attack, that's what works for me in the situation.

If someone is able to react to you doing nothing and attack you again after they've done ETEG you've done your delay attack way too late. Try inputting a dash in some direction before pressing the move you need to beat the evade but you shouldn't actually see the dash come out it's just there to kill a frame.

I will ETEG in this situation sometimes because I'm afraid that my opponent will throw out a launcher in anticipation of me just inputting throw escapes.

I'll try using your advice for inputting two throw escapes during an evade. My biggest problem is that I'm so concerned with entering the throw escapes quickly enough that I'm mistiming the input of my evade. When I have multiple inputs to do it's easy for me to jump the gun on things, so to speak. If I am able to space my inputs out more I have more success because I'm not so spastic mentally. Thanks for the advice!

One of the cardinal rules of ETEG, IMHO, is to do it as late as possible. Really wait for your moves buffer period to kick in, so you don't miss your evade. Yeah, it's harder online... (I miss a lot of evades trying to dodge AFTER being hit for some reason. I end up eating the next attacks too cause I didn't end up moving out of the way. This is especially common for me when my back is to the edge of the ring and it ends up costing me wins...)

I think everyone has trouble at first but just keep in mind to really wait till as late as you can to input your evade. Waiting may increase your chances of getting the TE off withing the window or maybe a successful evade if they delay at all too (purposely or not).

For real??? No way you didn't know that dude...

After practicing ETEGs in dojo recently I find it very easy as long as you know what throw direction the enemy will use that is but is there a specific trick to get 2 TEs in during the window given or do you just do them 1 after another really fast after a successful evade. How much time do I really have to both TE's off. Getting one off isn't too bad but 2 seems to be abit crazy, I only wish I let myself learn it earlier but it didn't work until very recently after alot of practice and that was just to get 1 TE off. It has always been a weakness of mine and it rarely ever works often enough to be effective most of the time I try it so I often avoided doing it avoid making my situation even worse. More often then not it happens by accident more than anything else.

You have about 1/3 of a second to get TEs in during an evade. Very do-able. Get ps2 VF4Evo & practice if you dont have it already.
