1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Why in gods name does it need to be -15 on guard what else do they want guaranteed afterwards. Yet Kage is even on guard after a flip kick

Cause it's a hhm*m string that starts with an 11 frame P, and 9K+G is a single 30 frame move?

Completely different moves for completely different uses. I've noticed Sega changes things to be riskier/safer depending on how they want that character to be played. Comparing specific moves is useless.

Plus, strings have always been super punishable in VF. Sega values being able to be able to guess multiple times before you have to defend. To them, it is very powerful to be able to do so, so they make you pay when they get blocked.

PPKK is not that good, but 3PP string is good as hell as the first P hits low. Pai can do 3PP until someone gets annoyed and tries to interupt it with something.

3PP6P beats everything he'd do, and as a result Pai gets a fairly big damage combo after it. When it gets blocked it's only TC. IMO it was either 3PP6P or 3PPKK and Sega chose 3PPKK. Either string needed a nerf in Evo.

That still doesnt make it ok for a flip kick to be even on guard there is no sense behind it but hell people put up with kage's bs anyway.

When people say "flip kick" they usually mean [7][K]+[G] or [7][K], not [9][K]+[G]. C'mon man, completely different moves. It's like asking why is Pai completely safe after [2_][4][K].

Pai is not completely safe after [2_][4][K].

*sigh* If you can't punish a HHH string, then... *shrug* I don't know what else to say.

Anyway, I've split the thread.. .too much whining in what was meant to be a thread about the system changes, and too much whining makes me sad /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
