Toronto match making

Hey guys, I was wondering are there any guys from Toronto here that are playing VF regularly and maybe in tourneys? I am planning to get into VF 5, but as you know no online play. So I am looking for competition .. if anyone in here is in the same boat we can start a community. Let me know, thanks

 

So glad to see this topic. I am a new comer looking for any place to play either VF4 FT or VF5. Will keep eyes on the followings.

 

I don't know about playing regularly but there is a group of Toronto people who play VF from the the 2nd in the series onward.

I think the first step here is to state where you are and where you can get to. With VF5 only seeing a console release it is pretty important that, if a community is to be formed, that its participants are mobile.

Also, since we sometimes meet to play "retro" VF it might be worthwhile to announce at what point you came into the series and if you'd be interested in joining a gathering where we play the older installments.

all in all, I do expect the Toronto scene to revive slightly as we get closer to VF5's release.

I am located in Scarborough, any can meet anywhere in the gta pretty much. I played a bit of VF 4 EVO, however the last year or so very sparingly. My interest has again peaked with VF 5 coming. Where abouts do you guys play around?

 

I'm living close to Yonge & Finch. Where should I go to play it, please?

 

there are no outlets for the arcade FT at the moment I'm afraid. No place for Evo that I know of as well.

Home Gatherings are the only option for VF5 as well but they can't happen unless members speak out about their plans to purchase either system.

I will not be buying a console to play VF5 but, as always, I am agreeable to hosting a gathering if no one else can.

I can't see myself buying ps3 just for the game.

I'm by the finch/leslie area. I planned to get a ps3 just for VF5 but I'm somewhat hesitant now. My VFHG stick + VF5 is still sitting at play-asia due to the recall and I've been flooded with school work also. May is looking good though.

 

Cool cheatah!!! I do have plans to get x360 later, but that is sometime around Auguest. Anyone play winning eleven here too?

 

Johnson - I too was thinking more along the lines of an Xbox come August.

It all starts with building a stick. I will have a PS3 stick to play with at least, and wheels to get to any gatherings. Soon enough VF5 will trickle in.

In the meantime, it gives me incentive to further clean out the garage and get a larger VF4FT/VF2 retro night happening.

 

The incentive has always beenthere: My Presence!

Now, get to cleaning...I needs my VF1/VF2 fix!!!!
