Insane.

Stunning.

Afterwards, I shook Michael Bay's hand and said: "Thank you. That was the most amazing movie I have seen. I am absolutely blown away."

He smiled.

It was awesome.

The NYC VF crew will definitely be seeing this opening weekend.

We just saw the Silver Surfer movie last night and we can't wait for the Transformers movie.

 

I concur the movie was FANTASTIC. Typical Michael Bay Summer Popcorn Movie

Positives:
1) Being one of the last people to be let into the theater
2) BumbleBee
3) Robot Battles
4) The Super HOTT girl
5) The Opening Scene

Minuses
1) a bit slow in parts
2) or scenes that lasted a bit too long

It really surprised me how good this movie is. I was expecting Godzilla 2 and came away with a kick ass robot action movie

Summer Movie Ranking: (from what I have seen)
1) Transformers
2) Pirates 3
3) Spiderman 3
4) Shrek 3

 

whoa cmon. spiderman 3's love story dragged on way to long, at certain points i was thinking is this a chick flick. shrek 3 was just another damn shrek movie. even my wife who loves the shrek movies said damn another shrek movie. pirates 3 wasnt that great either. if you saw the first two pirate movies you can skip the third. in fact if you saw the first pirates movie you can skip the 2nd and 3rd movie.

transformers i havent seen yet and im hoping that movie is pretty action packed. the summer movies so far in my opinion blow.

El brisal73 it wasnt an attack on you. i know those arent your personal favorite movies well i hope not. its just that sometimes hollywood blockbusters are all hype. i wish some of those crappy movies werent so popular but unfortunately crap is sometime popular.

i wasnt looking forward to the transformers movie until you guys said how good it turned out. so if anything thanks for the info cause i probably wouldnt have seen transformers in theaters. so brisal i was just saying that it sucks that those movies are so succesful. everythings a fucking sequel nowadays. i apologize if i offended you dude.

I've gotta agree that typically minus a few exceptions, hollywood movies are just hot air. I didn't really care for spiderman 3 too much although I thought 1 and 2 weren't bad. I tend to keep an open mind before checking out films and hopefully I'll like transformers the way you guys do.

 

I hope you like it as well. To give an example, this last time I was this floored by CG in an action movie was Jurassic Park. Also, there was enough character development that I cared about the most important people throughout the film.

 

Cool, im looking forward to it. I'm sure the visuals will be good but more than that, I just want a good story and plot.

 

As a fan to the Transformers series, I will definetly go watch the upcoming movie. I enjoyed on what was featured in the trailers. However, I am disappointed and bitter that Frank Welker, the original voice actor of Megatron, is not reprising him in this movie. Besides, if the movie were out and people said that they were impressed and praised with Hugo Weaving's portrayal of Megatron, I will not even care for it, for I wanted Frank Welker to reprising the notorious robot.[/size]

Thumbs Up to name change!

Saw the movie again yesterday. Still so awesome I can't believe it. Nothing was added to the version I saw a couple weeks back. Some scenes were shortened and I thought it was beneficial. The interrogation scene with the doughnut plate wasn't as long. They mainly cut out the part where blonde tech was verbally accused of copying the signal data (since there was no reason I could see to repeat it - the visual of it being put on the card was obvious enough).

My favorite action sequence remains the same - Bonecrusher roller-blade while on fire after crashing through bus followed by fighting with Optimus during plummet from overpass - Jesus Tapdancing Christ that was so fucking INSANE!
