1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

    Howdy my VF-Troopers,

Vithness here, and as you can tell by the title of this thread, I am going to be in japan. Thing is i am going there on friday until tuesday, and I have very little planned in the way of what to do. I must, MUST, go to some of the more famous arcades and lay some (or get some) whoopins. So, if I am not being too rude in asking, could people post some suggestions on the following.

    1)Must go to arcades

    2)sights to see in Tokyo

3)districts that I should go to

    4)events that ight be happening

5)anyone there right now that might want to meet for a lil bit to play.

I am doing my own research but I know the VF'ers got the skinny when it comes to good arcades / random spots.

PS: I'm staying in Kofu "technically". I plan to use tokyo as my place to be

    1. Go to Akihabara Club Sega and/or Club Sega Shinjuku West Exit. Those two are probably the best for VF. If you like playing other fighters, I'd probably suggest Aki over Shinjuku, since the latter focuses mainly on VF/Tekken and Akihabara has competition for a wider variety of games.

    2. Go to Meiji Shrine, it's very nice and a good contrast from the heavy electronics section of Akihabara. Also, you can go to Asasuka for a similar experience. If you have time, go down to Kamakura and visit the temples and Daibutsu (giant Budda statue). It's well worth the trip.

    3. Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi, Yokohama, Hakone (if you have time, it's kinda far), Akihabara, Ginza

    4. No idea on this...

    5. Shou and Sekaijin should be there but I don't know if they're busy. I also know Supergolden is in the Tokyo area too, but again, I don't know if he's busy. If you were in Osaka I'd play some VF with you, but you aren't going to be here. :p

Additional sights for people who go crazy about skycrapers and observation decks

1 - Tokyo Metropolitan Government (Shinjuku)
    2 - Tokyo Tower (Roppongi)
3 - World Trade Centre (Shimbashi)

Shiodome has VERY beautiful buildings but you can't go on top.

Also, the Kamakura Buddha is kinda overrated imo. The real shizzle is the Giant Buddha (Daibutsu) of Ushiku in Ibaraki, the prefecture just north of Tokyo. It's the second tallest statue in the world, 110 metres. I've been there and it's REALLY impressive:
