What country or countries would you like to visit if you had the chance and why ?
    For me :

    - Brazil : I gotta check out the carneval of Rio before I die... I just must. YaNaMean !

    - Thailand : I got some friends who went over there and you wouldn't believe the stories !!! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif And also, everything's cheap over there, from DVD's to jewelry .

    - China (Hong Kong) : I dunno, I've always been intrigued about Hong Kong, it's just one of those places I must go if ever I get the cash and time. It seems to be like one of those cool places like NY and Paris but with an oriental touch.

    - Japan : DUH !

    - The Bahamas : Just kicking it ; relaxing on the beach ; partying ; women in skimpy outfits everywhere ; alcohol ; you know, the basics in life. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Top of my list would be:

    Japan
    South America
    China

Also India. I've actaully been to India a few times before at New Years and its a simply wonderful place to visit. Mind-bending is the best way to describe the place. There's just so much to explore, which is why I want to go back again, as so far I've only been to Karnatica and Goa. Have often thought about doing the old Harley-Davidson trip from South to North India, ending up in Nepal and the mountains. That's a dream I have.

I would like to visit the ruins in Peru and Cambodia. Cambodia might be better because I have heard that Machu Pichu is becoming overun with fat affluent yankees looking for enculturation. But SE asia is so far away...

Speaking of SE Asia, I've just gone and booked a trip to Vietnam /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

We fly into Ho Chi Min (Saigon) Dec 7th and plan to spend the whole of December touring the country via motorbike.

I was really lucky getting this time off work and can't wait for the trip. Would be good hearing from anyone else who's been.

We'll hire them. Costs around $3-5 a day to rent a motorbike in Nam, although could be more a for a decent Yamaha. I've heard there's allot of old Chinese and Soviet bikes over there that aren't safe to ride (no brakes and horn) but hopefully we'll get a decent one. Apparently the younger generation in Vietnam like their fashionable clothes and Japanese bikes. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And yea, motorbike is by far the most amazing way to tour a country. That's how we tackled India last year - the sense of freedome is incredible!
