stretch should follow up with some combos after 8p+k and 3k+g since he was landing them enough times.

he should get into the habit of at least doing a 6pk or 6p+k, k after hit or if they block after the jumping hammer knuckle, evade up or down and do the throw of your choice.

also after the 3k+g regular hit, if they are down he can follow up with k while rising and throw in a stomp right after. on counter hit go for 26p+k, 4kpp while they are staggered if the opponent can't shake that good. (the 26p+k isn't guaranteed but the times you land it and follow with the combo will make anybody who gets hit with it sad)

there are better strategies to go with in the el blaze dojo forum but the ones i posted are some easier ones that will teach him to recognize his opportunities he can follow up with.

    good matches though.

and sorry i have no eileen strats haha, but maybe those are some things you can watch out for against el blaze. :p

I see that you guys are playing with 60 second rounds. Just an advice, seeing that you guys seem eager to join tournaments, you should play standard 45 seconds.

Anyways, I hope to see you guys in VTYME.

Fun matches doods. I don't want to preach advice, but one bit of advice I'll toss out there is try to sidestep more often. Saw a Jacky Vs. Goh match where there isn't one sidestep.

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

oh advice always welcome sry I forgot the throw that at the end of the post. If I remember correctly Herkdawgiii made me terrified to sidestep because he kept throwing me. I can't ETE or even MTE on a pad *sigh*. Where a lot of those goh moves he was using linear I'm not used to fighting against a good goh. He just started getting good with him.

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

Sidestepping is just like any other defensive tool. If you overuse it or you get predictable with it, your opponent can crush you. Treat it just like low punching or jabbing, dont get predictable and if your opponent starts to read your sidestepping too well, throw in P+K here and there when you sidestep, it should make him back off a little /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
(but dont get predictable with that either, if your evadeP+K is blocked you're at a big disadvantage)

Also, you can input at least one throw escape during your evade without having to hold G, so try to figure it out exactly what throw you think he's going to go for and do one of those. I suggest 6P+G bc that's his most damaging but it's best if you learn Goh and see what throws your opponent goes for the most.

I watched one clip. You are not using Eileen's P at all, which you should especially if you are playing against Pai.

You tend to rely on 6P+K too much, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but your opponent probably doesn't know much about Eileen's moves cause he keeps on eating all three hits. You should know that 6P+K is used at good advantage, and you need to learn how to get dmg with 236KKK when it counter hits. Especially since your opponent keeps on getting hit by it, learn to use the cancel options. The third hit is like -15+ on block, which you won't get away with against good players.

You also should work on defense a bit, you ate every one of the P->throw attempts. If you don't want to do ETEG, just P back.

You should learn how to retake the advantage against your opponents constant attack with next to no defense.

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

I've noticed my defense is very lacking against stronger players. I've started to learn the other chars in the game so I can learn what moves leave them at disadvantage and what traps of theirs to look out for. I fall for Nitaku pretty badly sometimes because I don't even realize I'm in a nitaku situation untill it's happened to me three times. Are you on xbl maybe you could show me some stuff I should do more of with my eileen?

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

I don't have 360 sorry, but basically you need to P and LP just a bit more to stop the opponent's attacks. Judging from the clip that I saw, the Pai player doesn't know how to capitalize on the LP hits, so you should pay attention to this fact and remember to attack even after you are hit by the Pai player's LP attempts cause 99% of the time he goes for a throw after two LP hits.

6P is a faster mid than 6P+K as well. If you hit the opponent with 6P, then go for 6P+K.

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

you mean after a normal 6P hit or a CH 6p do the 6P+K. I know on regular hit 6P leaves you even. But on CH it leaves you at +7, or is there an even better follow up for when it's CH?

    Re: HerkDawg III's house vids

At +7, you can try to throw or go for dmg with 6p+k setups.
If you get stagger (crouch hit), same deal.
You are hardly ever going to get normal hit with 6P. At even situation, your fastest moves are P and LP. Or you can try another elbow.

Just don't always mash the second P when you do 6P unless you are going for cancel setups.

As always, remember to observe how your opponent likes to react to each of this situation and adjust accordingly.

For example, if they like to duck when they are staggered, you can do another 6P, or OM P. If they like to attack out of it, you can try 66P into combo or 6P+K into 236KKK. Etc.
