Trip to London.

Ok, Optimus told me to make a new thread about having a meeting sometime next month. Basically I am able to come down any weekend, or anytime from the 23rd July to the 1st of August. Would be grateful to anyone who can help get something set up.

 

I guess the possible venues are Mike's or Ryan's. Your dates only give you two weekends basically, but there should be no excuses for most people, considering the amount of notice given. Hopefully I'll be able to rack up some practice hours in the meantime. There were a few extra peeps who wanted to make it last time, but couldn't due to the short notice and getting lost on the way there after being show where to go once before and been given a contact number to call in case of becoming lost but forgotten to bring said number with them. I should be able to setup my laptop and camera to record all of the matches this time.

Jeffahn, I can come down on any weekend at all, it doesn't have to be in my holidays. I just posted my holidays up to let people know I can come down during the week. Mike's place is decent, haven't seen Ryan's but I have heard good things.

I will PM the dates if someone will give them to me. At the moment no-one has stepped up and agreed to organise something. Mike, if you are reading this, do you think that you could host something?

I know with all the bomb bullshit that's gone down that it aint the first thing on people's mind, but any news on another meeting?

Don't play vf anymore, so not bothered with london gatherings. If a good couple northern heads come down might be worth doing, at least for a laugh. Let me know.

 

Maybe we could have a money torni to gain interest, people pay small fee for entry?

 

I'm up for paying to play, (though I have to buy the ticket down there as well, so not too much).
As far as I am aware I am the only one from up here who is definite, though Kain (my brother) may come down, and Ade might aswell. Small possiblity that Dan may come aswell. I can't say who will come (except for me) untill someone actually agrees to host the meeting and gives me a date.
Hope someone will be able to do this soon, so I can get things sorted.

I'll come down for sure, just let me know the date, then I can book the tickets in advance/book a few days off work and save money on the tickets.

 

It will have to be a weekend, Ade, so I don't think you will need time off work (unless you work weekends of course!).

I'm officially out from this I'm afraid, there's no chance of me getting the money to come and even if I did it wouldn't be worth it as I'd be getting banged up as I haven't played the game properly in so long.

Come sept I'll be back to organising meets in Manchester tho.

As for other heads, yeah, Ade, Shaun, Kain, Dan, Will, Mye, Scott...maybe you could all put your heads together and sort out something?
