Really, it's just that as you recover from whatever you did just before you're thrown (usually had a guaranteed throw move blocked), you can enter in multiple throw escapes. So if you opponent is using a throw that's executed with [6][P]+[G], and during your recovery, you enter the same command, you'll escape. So if you enter in multiple escape commands in during your recovery, you'll escape from any throw your opponent uses with that command.

I'm not all that good at this and can only pull off the three that the tutorial describes to you.

I sympathize with you. It is very difficult. I can't do them either (I've just never seen a situation where I know exactly what throw the opponent will go for). Now, noobs I can do it on, considering the only throw they use is [P]+[G]. Still, that's not much of an achievement.

That's why you have to use EDTEGC

haha i don't think that's a term the original poster can understand...

to the original poster, throw escapes are just, obviously, commands that are used to escape thows. they're basically the same commands as throws. you use them if you might suffer from a throw, so you basically just input what ever direction throws you are trying to avoid, then at the end, you usually hold guard just in case the opponent trys an attack instead of a throw. you can also try, Evade ~ Throw Escape ~ Guard this is a really fast motion by the way... i can't really explain it very good, haha good luck with it. oh one last thing, if you want to escape a certain throw all you have to input is the LAST DIRECTION of the throw they're using, PLUS [P]+[G]. so say you're trying to avoid wolf's giant swing [[4][1][2][3][6][P]+[G]], then you would simply input [6][P]+[G] ~ guard simple as that. alright good luck

ExtremeLoner, I have a question about your post...You say that you only have to input the last direction that they use for the throw to evade. For example, Wolf's giant swing, you said, is [4][1][2][3][6][P]+[G].

Say he's on the left side of the screen, correct? So would that mean I press [4][P]+[G] to evade, or [6][P]+[G], if I'm on the right side. Basically, do I press right, the last direction he pressed, or forward, which in this case is left? Hopefully you understand my question good enough...I can't think of a better way to word it.

Looks like the arrows are messing with you. Think of it like this...Giant Swing ends in forward, so you use forward to escape. Your forward, not their forward.

yeap, following up on what sanjuro said. if you're trying to throw escape any throw [catch throws excluded] then you just do the ending direction and [P]+[G]. in other words, what ever direction it ends, you do that direction for yourself. so for your specific question, the answer is [4][P]+[G] because that's YOUR front, and giant swing's last direction motion is front. hope that cleared things up.
