Two Durals?

Um, is the Dural you're up against in the bonus stage totally random? As in, whether or not you get the chameleon Dural or the silver Dural does not depend on anything you do during gameplay?

Also, what's the deal with having 2 different Durals? Is it the same concept as in VF3 where there was a gold Dural and a silver one? And was which Dural you got in the bonus stage random back in VF3?

Dural appears to the player in ' optic camouflage'
Almost invisible in a low res screen...hard to make out her moves n stuff...very cool.

Kinda like predator sneaking around with the spear gun~

 

that sounds awesome... sounds kinda like the camoflage device in Metal Gear Solid? That's a nice effect.

Otherwise...it really is close to impossible to see the moves Dural will be using to slap ur bottom~

 

im guessing it depends on what side you're on but im not so sure. try beating the game on the second player side.

 

Ah yes that might explain it... At first I thought maybe you got the chameleon Dural only when you beat the game within a certain standard or something.

 

I've beaten the game on the 2p side (the only side I play on) and I got the normal Dural, also SummErs I think only plays on the p1 side and he got the predator type Dural : P

 

so it should be the player side that determines then. The chameleon dural is VERY cool! *awed* /versus/images/icons/shocked.gif

 

I've reached Dural five times on the 1p side and I have always faced the Silver Dural. It could be something to do with ranking though, on my last visit to Dural, after being beaten by her I was ranked 2nd (This was last Tuesady for those who go to the casino. Look for A.S.) so it could be that you need to ranked 1st or, remain unbeaten (Rounds not continues.) until you reach her.

It might be the standard of gameplay then, like the ranking. Or maybe player needs to win all rounds straight (e.g. in a 2-round match vs computer winning all 2 rounds till Dural)...

In any case, the silver Dural I've noticed is much easier to get than the chameleon Dural. I've seen only alucard play the chameleon dural before; all others I've seen before who got to Dural played the silver one. That was what made me guess it might have had something to do with gameplay... /versus/images/icons/shocked.gif

 

My guess is that it's a reward for highly skilled players with regard to the fact that I lost many rounds before I got to Dural. Someone with more skill than me will need to confirm this theory.

 

I've fought the "predator" Dural twice, and I was ranked 1st in those games. I think you will only get the special Dural if you top the time ranking.

 

I'm the only one who finished the game in Zurich(Switzerland) on both machines, and i'm first. Of course i've finished the game also without continue. i always fought against Silver Dural, I always played on 1 player side.......

Gee this thing is getting weirder and weirder. But the truth is that, yes, Andrew (alucard) did finish 1st on two different machines and he got the chameleon dural.

Since nascarbryant says that it's neither the 1st player side nor the ranking, then...

Anybody got any idea?????

I think it has to do with being unbeaten or something. I saw Jackybrothas beat the game yesterday, he continued but still got the #1 time, and he fought the regular silver Dural.

Um, not sure what you mean... If you mean not continuing (i.e. putting coins in and continuing after "dying"), a lot of people I've seen before reach Dural w/o continuing but still get the silver one...

Maybe it's like what I said - that you have to beat the computer w/o losing any rounds (e.g. in a 2-round match every stage, winning both the rounds) before getting to Dural. Food for thought...

I hope anyone who gets the chameleon dural next time can observe what he/she did during gameplay...

That way it would genuinely be tough to get and not get stale.
