UCF Orlando Gauntlet January 25th

There will be four games played:


Tekken 4
Virtua Fighter 4
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Capcom Vs SNK 2

The Schedules is as follows:

10AM-11AM: Setup

11AM-12PM: Sign Ups Begin For All Tournaments

12PM-5PM: Virtua Fighter 4 and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Tournaments commence and sign ups for these tourneys
end at beginning of the tournaments.

5PM-6PM: 1 hour break and sign ups for Tekken 4 and
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 end.

6PM-11PM: Tekken 4 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 Tournaments
commence

11PM-12AM: Breakdown

(What a long ass day)

Here are the general rules for all Tournies:

1. Double Elimination

2. The first bracket will be only 1 match, but finals
match will be best 2 out of 3

3. The second bracket, all matches will be best 2 out
of 3, but losers finals will be best 3 out of 5 and
overall finals will be best 4 out of 7.

4. You are allowed to bring your own controllers.

5. ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON PS2 EXCEPT MARVEL VS.
CAPCOM 2!

6. No entry fee....Since this event is held on campus,
the event must be free since I got everything free
(LCD projectors, 40 inch projector screens, 4 TV's,
100 chairs, etc, etc.). If I charge, then I get
charged for everything (Rounding to about $5000,
ARRGH!). Consequently, since no entry fee, no prizes
either....sorry! (But if you want to side bet without
telling me or anyone else outside the bet, that isn't
of my concern).


Now, specific rules:

For MvC2 and CvS2:

1. You cannot pick the same character 3 times.

2. Glitches are allowed (roll cancel, infinites,
whatever). However, if the glitch resets the game or
freezes it, you are automatically disqualified.

3. Hitting pause during the game must be judged on its
significance in a match. If the action was a deciding
factor in the result of the mat in favor of the person
who paused, then he or she is automatically
disqualified.


For VF4:

If possible, all those who have memory card files with
their characters set and with controller settings set
for their character, please come early so we can
transfer files onto one card.

Extra information:

1. There are going to be 4 projectors set up in the
front of the room and those will be solely used for
tournament purposes. Since there are two tournies
running at each time interval, 2 screens will be for
one game and the other two will be for the other (Ex:
2 screens running for the VF4 tourney and 2 screens
running for the MvC2 tourney).

2. 4 extra TV's will be available for free play.
Anyone who wishes to bring their systems, please
e-mail me. I will post up what console are being
brought so that everyone won't end up bringing their
own PS2's, DC, X-box's, Genesis', whatever.

3. NO FOOD in room! I cannot stress this enough. You
can eat outside the premises, but not in the room.

Hey pinoy =), I went to the last tournament you held. Thanks for the heads up, but, I'll be in Korea on that day and will not be able to attend your tournament this year =/ sorry.

I'll take you on, Dwayne! Hehe, actually I have never played anyone good in this game. The only real time I put into this game is the Kumite mode. I got to 5th dan and now I am addicted! My goal for that game is to get 1,000 wins. Hope to see you there.

hey to those who have those tekken 4 sticks, what configuration do you guys use. I remember at the JCONN event on campus, most of you had to change configuration when you had sticks. If I can save that for every character on a memory card, you guys wouldn't have to change configuration anymore....sounds good right?
