As for seeing the sights...well the london guys will be getting up here late on the friday night and the tourney starts the next day at 12ish so I think that pretty much rules out any sight seeing at all. It'll be a case of; arive, get fed and watered, play games!

I think the only sights peeps will be seeing is the Res Evil mansion I live in (no word of a lie) a bit of the curry mile around the corner and the Tesco (tho you can see Whitworth Art Gallery from where the Tesco is, just about)

 

Also, I was thinking if anyone has a digital camera or equivalent to take some group photo's (ala EVO2K on the front page) to put on the web-site, it'll look proper bo I tell thee.

Just to let everyone know again I won't be able to reach a computer after today till the 27th or something so if anyone needs to say anything, please say it today.

As for Groups I'd say C and D are both death groups as there are lots of well matched players in each one but surely the biggest death group has to be A right? I mean if I get 2 wins in that group I'd be happy.

I've been training my ass off, metaphorically, although I sometimes wish it was physically, LOL. So will be prepared for some decent VF play.

Just to 'nip it in the bud' in an austrailian way, I don't want to see ANY FLAME WAR'S arising before the tournie at this late stage! With the hired van situation, if one player drop's out, then everyone will! This is because Chris won't have access to a PC and let's avoid giving LM problem's whereever possible before the tournie and avoid shit hitting the proverbially fan. Obviously thing's can change at the last minute (we all know of Murphy's Law, I'm sure) but this is gonna be (I'm sure not just for me!) the biggest day of my VF play ever and probably will be a LONG time.

Chris, on a quick note, Maz will be using Jacky for the tourny. I PM'd shawn to see if we could meet them guys at leeds again.

I didn't think this event would be all that but its starting to sound heavy.

Its roughly £27, we leave on the 25th and return on the 26th right? If so and places are availiable in the tourney and van then put me down.

I dont play VF much and will need some practice, I especially need some human opposition. Is anyone up for a small gathering during the evening of 22nd or 23rd? it would be about 8 peeps at most. This is not confirmed and may not happen. Nontheless let me know if anyones interested.

The tourney is on the 25th and from what I gather the london guys are travelling up on friday 24th, the night before and leaving the saturday night.

There are currently no spaces available in the tourney.

I was thinking, for the guys coming up on the friday, we could split into two groups for a bit of the evening if needs be. Ade wants to play Tag at Jennys (our local arcade) so when you get here, I was thinking a few may be interested in getting the bus to Jennys for a bit (only 50p and I think Ade has told all the Tag heads that Ryan will be in town) and the others can stay back at my place and play some other games/get some food/get drunk or whatever.

Anyways, that's what I'm thinking for the friday evening. It would also give some peeps a chance to see a bit of Manchester too if they went to Jennys since it's right in the middle of town.

Then we all meet back up at mine and play through the night (or sleep if peeps need it) and wait for the rest of the northern posse to arrive on the saturday (tourney kicking off at 12 ish).

This'll probably be my last post till everyone meets up. Good luck to everyone and if there are any probs please try ringing/texting me.
