UK VF champions

there seems many famous japanese VF champions so what about are home bred UK counterparts or are the japanese just on a diffrent level compared to us in terms of skill.

 

The japanese are for the most part on a different level. The one UK player who seems to be able to hang with them is Ryan Hart, who goes by the nickname "Ryan Hart".

 

there are some great UK players, i think that the first three i'm mentioning are up there or close to the japanese, the others are also close, but don't stick out quite as much as being *famous*.

TOP:

Ryan Hart - nuff said, managed to defeat probably 80% of the famous japanese crew also including Kyasao, Chibita, Segal, Mukki, Kurita and more

Oda Modu - his jeff is a bulldozer, and currently learning Goh, he's been ryan's rival-like player for some time, the green book dvd comes to mind when watching these two play together.

UK-Guy - his kage is semi-unstoppable, fast and solid. i think he's the only one out of the three i've managed to defeat however.. (no easy task i assure)

NEXT:

VOSOR - UK's strong vanessa player, i've seen it make a come back against Ryan's kage once with about 20% health and brought ryan down enough for a time out victory in about 13 seconds. it's tricky to fight, but i think my win ratio against it is around 50%, mabye 45, it's a great challenge.. but lacks abit with throw limitation i find.

The Wall - Great player, i haven't played him a great amount, but his wolf is strong and offensive, and his jacky's comming nicely too, also strong competitavely for the UK bunch.

ZENG - pai player, but also chooses alot of other characters also, definatly up there hanging with the best IMO.

well, those are the players i normally see in action anyhow.

 

have i ever seen any of the hardcore uk players such as ryan hart, uk guy and oda madu.
do they come to play 2 win alot but doubt it somehow.
Also did the japs come to uk to challenge the uk guys.

The Prince: VF4 unofficial : ) champ need I say anymore. Plays with Lau and Jeff.

Addict42: Low risk high reward is his moto. Akira and Brad.

Yamato: a solid player who can guess very very well and know the vf4 system like no one else. Goh and Aoi.

If you want to meet up with any of these people go to play 2 win on Fridays or Saturdays after 6pm no one ever goes early.

P.S *wisper* I don't use Wolf anymore to hard to play on the sticks, it's Sarah all the way now

 

i agree with all the players the wall and bareknuckle mentrionned (though its nowhere near 45% my friend) also,the sticks at play to win render almost 70% of my throws useless since i just cant get the 270s or 180s out consistently enough....

thing is,the level of play of almost everyone is going up really fast and the lines that separated the "supreme" players from the average is even thinner ! so i hope all of you are down friday so we can for once all have a proper meet...

 

Is ZENG a singaporean? Hey have you guys played with a singaporean Zengzi who went to UK for some attachment? He used to be really good in VF3... but I never played with him in VF4

 

yes this is the zeng we speak of. he is very good with more than one character and he is always very challenging to play against.

heh, then what do you suggest? i thought it was pretty even on new years eve if you can remember that far back, now be honest... also to gee-ho: all of the top three players mentioned in my first post go there often, and probably will be there on friday and saturday... believe me, you'll know when you see them.

 

darn working all weekend but just might be bale to make it on either days unless im too knackered. When does the fighting really get intense. About 8-9pm or earlier.

Hi guys......is anyone actually going to Play 2 Win this weekend? I won't be able to make it on Friday and I heard some of you guys have other plans for Saturday

3rd strike tourney and also not really wanting to participate in the Dynamic League /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif

 

yes, saturday is the official date for the next DL meeting at P2W... hopefully everyone will turn up.. i wanna see u in action too, so be there.. /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

 

But he is not better than Ryan? Zengzi was REALLY very good in VF3 and I think was for a time probably the best in Singapore. Maybe he doesn't live near london now so cannot play VF4 so often.

 

last time zeng zi told me he lost to ryan alot

i don't think he's better than ryan from what i've seen (and played), or odu modu for that matter, but he's very good and probably up there close. he also plays with alot of characters well...

(now i'm even more proud i managed to take him down... /versus/images/icons/grin.gif )

 

Well Ryan is on the same level as the top Japanese players....his record was 3-0 against Chibita(very impressive)

Zeng doesn't live in London.....he sometimes comes down for the weekends....

Summers: would advise you to edit your post unless you wanna get Zeng in trouble cos Ryan does check this forum

(then again, i suppose one could have easily misread it and thought that it was zeng bad mouthing ryan)

I remember Zengzi's Lau in VF3 was almost 'untouchable'. I think it was Steven that said Zeng's Lau has REAL teeth, can really bite! /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif.

But top players come and go..It used to be Colin, Kiat and Steven during VF2 time, then it was Zeng who dominated VF3 and now I supposed it's Danny for Evo.

Of course, I am talking about the VF scene in Singapore.

 

Please lah his Lau was good but not "untouchable"....let's not exaggerate OK. Also, not to worry but Zeng Zi knows I can say this.
