UK WCG registration is actually open...

And ended Friday 6th of June!?!

Looks like they didn't get many applicants, so (thankfully) they've extended the registration period to the 16th of June.

So far only 6, (6!!!) have applied for VF5, well once my registration goes through I'll be registering as well.

I guess this means I'll have to practice a little on a CRT, I don't think I can go into matches with my .2/.3 second delay on my LCD! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

So anyway, I'm sure there are more UK players who can test their skill! Register register register!

Only 10 people in total are going for the UK VF5 slots. I'm guessing our 'tournament' will be over in a couple of days, and the focus will be more on the team based shooters.

I find it both amusing and disturbing that there were more people in the first UK online tourney we had on here than there are signed up for the UK WCG qualifiers.

Is that the online qualifier only or does it include the offline event in August?

I've secured time off work for the offline event allready and if I need to re-register for it somewhere then it would be a great help if someone could help clear it up.

I haven't played much VF5 recently though, my XBL is down (MTU something or other) and there is no real offline opponents for me to play.

So I put down for two weeks holiday for "training" starting the 19th of July in hopes of upping my game or at least reaching the level I was at before my Xbox broke.

I'm pretty confident I will do well.

I've played a good few of the UKs best and have been able to match the vast majority of them.

And most of them have only played against my Akira who is second to my Wolf so that's another Ace up my sleeve.

I'll be hopefully getting a better internet connection on Friday (or at least I'll order one) when I get payed so depending on how long they take to set it up I could be online sooner rather than later.

I hope to play some more soon and until then I'll be grazing around the dojo biding my time.

I emailed Mplay about the live event because I was unable to get a ticket over t'internet.

I'm not sure how this works but it would be a bit pointless to attend if we made it through the online qualifiers right?

 

The qualifiers happen at the same event as the tournament so you'll be there anyway.

 

Yeah but if you win the online qualifier (I think it may be top 2) then you only need to take part in the final WCG qualifier.Which is at the same event as the last chance qualifier.

 

Hows everyones campaign going? Of the 9 matches I've only got 2 left to fight, and of the 7 completed fights 3 were no shows!

Anyway, So far I've lost to B Feck, won against McMystery, Richochet and Delios.

The Delios fight was rediculously close though. Got down to last round, last hit. I shat myself, cuz I know he's really good at reversals...
