Ultra noob question... How do I roll with Goh?

How do I preform Goh's roll move? I've been through most of the command list and training in the game but can't seem to do it. Thanks in advance!

you also couldve went though command training

 

the roll is a nice technique for setting up some adv grabs and combos I just hate that you can't roll after you turn your back to excape it would be great but just in case if anyone knows how to roll after like say a jump kick and your back is turned please post I don't think you can..

Isn't it possible to throw characters when they do the roll? I think I did it at Shun's roll and El Blaze's.

Yeah, you can low-throw them while they roll.

 

I think I managed to throw them high

 

Maybe because they just woke up from the roll.

 

That could be the reason.
