1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Unlocking Costumes C & D

For those of you who are curious, you unlock costume C by reaching 5th kyu. You unlock costume D by collecting winning enough orbs. You collect orbs by winning a match where the winner gets the prize. You can see the number of orbs you've collected by looking at the information box of your character before each round. Each orb is stored in a little circle shaped thingie which disappears once you've unlocked costume D.

For items it seems that you have to win most items by playing. In FT you could buy items on VF.NET, but now it seems you can only buy different colors for your costumes (such as shirt, pants, and belt for shun). Maybe you need to reach a higher rank to unlock buyable items?

You have to unlock C and D?

Eh, I'm fond of Jeffry'd A and Vanessa B (why aren't there enough Van B vids?)

    Thanks for the info though.

You can still buy items in the shop.

Sega just haven't released them yet. On September 1st, most items will appear in the vf.net shop.

    the conditions sound reasonable,

I hope they don't change the condtiions to be more demanding on the PS3 version in terms of unlocking the C & D costumes.

Once you get 7 orbs and get costume D your orb sphere thingie disappears. You can buy a new one for 5,000 gold and start collecting more orbs.

There seem to be new costumes you can buy on vf.net but I still don't have access to any items, it's kinda annoying - my Shun needs a bigger flask! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I got my D costume last night for Kage...

When you get all of the orbs there is a cool animation with the last one falling into the disc, and then you get to see a picture of a badass dragon holding your "item"...

    It is cool...

Yes, its out in arcades in Japan only. Sega started small tests locations in arcades in April-June. The full release came out in July.
