Uramawari Setups for the Entire Cast

The "Uramawari Setup" causes the fighter's rising attack from the ground to strike in the wrong direction. For a while now, VFnumbers have been testing different ways for his main character Lei Fei to cause this quirky situation. Now he has made a series of short videos, showing how the entire cast can cause the uramwari!

I recommend playing the YouTube videos at a slower speed (Playback Speed under Settings).

Taken from the VFDC Lei Fei Wiki section by VFnumbers on how to get rising attacks to strike in the wrong direction:

Uramawari setups

You can force your opponent to rise attack or roll in the opposite direction with the following scenarios.
It will not work vs TAKA

For this to work.
1) you must reposition at 90 degrees --| (between you -- and your opponent | )
2) opponent must perform an in place mid or low rising attack.
3) opponent must be in either Face Down, Head Towards (OM to your back) or
Face Down, Feet Towards (OM to your stomach)
4) You must use a move that has mid to slightly long-range reach.

I want to add another variable that wasn't in my initial list.
If you knockdown your opponent in a face-up position and your character has a move that beatdown and flips them over to face-down when you OTG them.
You can then reposition at 90 degrees and attempt your move to uramarwari.

leifei has hai p+k, doku k+g to flip over your opponent.

Just confirmed today that for Leifei it does work vs Taka. You have to use Leifei instead of +

Yup I went back to FS for a bit and confirm it works for Leifei. A few other players tested it with Shun as well
