URGENT

I'm about to enter my senior term here in less than two weeks, however an issue has arisen. I received an email from the Academic Support Coordinator at my school here which states: "Under the new GI Bill, it is mandatory that we have all college transcripts on file for all military students prior to the end of this term or you will not be able to be scheduled for the June 14 term. This may result in you being dropped from school (schedules already in the computer will be removed at the end of next week).

Now this isn't really the main problem because I can still finish school here. I've already talked to my Financial Aid department. I'll just have to take out student loans for my last term instead of the VA paying for my last year. Here are the main problems. I have tried to obtain my transcript from Tulane for some time now but have been unsuccessful. The reason I cannot receive it is because I have an outstanding balance from when I first attended there. The last time I tried to contact them, I tried to set up a payment plan with them in hopes that they would release the transcript. The gentlemen told me that before they even consider releasing it, I would need to at least play half of the balance. This was in 2008. I'm currently in the process of contacting them again and am hoping that the result is different this time. My current balance at Tulane is $9,948.03.

Problem number two is this. The GI Bill consists of a payment that goes directly to the school for my tuition and fees and a housing allowance that comes directly to me. Without that transcript, since the VA official won't be able to certify my enrollment to the VA, I won't be receiving that housing allowance either. I am attending school full time and am working part time to supplement that housing allowance. The housing allowance is my main means of paying my rent, utilities, and other expenses like food, etc. until I finish school.

Here is where you can help. What I am asking everyone is if they are able to, would it be possible to please donate at least $10 to help me bring this balance down so I can get my transcript, finish school, and have a means to continue to pay my rent and utilities. I admit that when I first went to Tulane, I did not do what I was supposed to do and ultimately paid a heavy price for it. Well, now I've been given a second chance to finish school, and I am closer to finishing now than when I was at Tulane. On top of that, I'm currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA, so obviously I'm doing something right this time around.
