Hi, I unlocked all the outfits but I didn't get the option for bra only, what do I have to unlock for that one? Is there anywhere I could see a gallery of all of her outfit items?
    Thanks.

You've got to get it from either the "dragon balls" or the tournament items, don't remember exactly.
May be this question should be put in the console section and keep the dojo for gameplay tactics etc.

I got the "No Military Shirt" item when I got her to 5th Dan in Quest mode.

No problem. I was thinking the same thing until I got it last night before I went to sleep.

this outfit is probably my favorite:
    Blond ponytail
    Hibiscus (the pink flower)
    General sunglasses
    White earings
    Red necklace or dog tags
    No military shit
    Red bra
    Red gloves
    Mountain camo pants
    Red lace boots

ts my grindin outfit, ai sees that 9 outta 10 fights.. i use B or D most of the time in player matches (only one ranked so far) and C is strictly for quest tourneys..

I don't care for blonde hair on black women, but Personal tastes.
I use her winter camo pants
    black rimmed glasses
    brown bra
No military shirt when I can get it
    dog tags
    silver nightstick
    blue flame boots
    Longish brown hair
    Black leather gloves
and hopefully the green flash plates if I can use them and her flame boots at the same time

C I use for my sub costume.
B looks too Charlie's Angels and D is just horrid.

9 outta 10 times id agree with you gallows but in this case i am definitely somewhat indifferent..

    1. Vanessa's VF5 makeover is my first impression of the character. I had to google her VF4 appearance to understand what everyone else is talking about. That said i like her 'new' look because she looks great as a blond, brunette or even a red head (and i cant stand red hair!).

    2. Maybe starting with the darker skinned option [LINK] would change that but till i get that she can pass for a really tanned blond on my SDTV. The white hair is ok (imma DOA4 Christie guy) but shes not 60 and i havent unlocked a black hair option yet.

    3. When i unlock the 'dark' option i plan on having 2 Vanessa options - one blond, really tanned white girlish look and one dark skinned Amazonian goddess.. till then i enjoy the versatility of her 'new' look being able to 'pass' for a blond because, (lets finally say it Red), i like blonds!!

and 4. Damnit that blond ponytail looks good on her!

The Original Rant (which i deleted but Apple+Zd it back just cause)

if we're talking about any other black woman walking the streets id definitely have something to say about it. 99% of the time i hate it when any woman starts messing with their natural hair color, even if it looks good, but Especially when a black woman does it.

Black is beautiful and I have yet to run across a black woman with blond, pink, purple or red hair that looked anything but stupid. Im a 6'5'', 220lbs black male and i reserve the right to pass such judgment.

I have the same philosophical problem with fake tits, nose jobs and botox regarding any ethnicity as well including my own. If you're born with it, live with it. Lying to the world wont change the face, hair color or body type your kids are born with at all.

Id like to have an accurate idea of what my kids are gonna get from their mother before one pops out with a katie griffin sized nose. Im the only person in my immediate family that wears glasses and i even feel guilty sometimes wearing contancts!

Speaking of which, I like using the red contacts. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I know what you mean. I'm a 6'4" 305 pound white guy and I agree on women changing their hair color wiggly piggly and all that. Most of the time it just don't look good. I just find her brown hair more appealing.

Like you said, it's all up to personal inclinations. I might use the dark option, because while I don't really care for black women personally, she's a hot black woman and making her skin darker won't bother me none. (I don't know, I'm just simply wired towards white women and asians from an aesthetic level, but she's still damned hot now she doesn't look like Black Panther and She Hulk's love child.)

I see Vanessa more like a "mediterranean" kind of girl rather than a black chick. She doesn't really have black features, her tanned skin reminds me more of Adriana Lima (Victoria's Secrets cutest supermodel) than of, say, Tyra Banks...

She-Hulk is the hottest green chick out there.. but seriously, i know where you're comin from.. Im not partial to any particular ethnicity but i grew up in the burbs of NJ and the demographic is pretty biased towards blonds and brunettes.

Plenty of gorgeous black women out there but ive had to admit that, due to the sheer numbers, my taste is skewed in the "opposite" direction..

i think that was done on purpose.. like someone else said (earlier in this thread? another post?) she's been toned down and mainstreamed since vf4.. i cant vouch for her old look cause ive only seen it in retrospect but the 'new' Vanessa definitely lacks distinctively 'African' or even 'Amazonian' features..

not that i know what amazon women are supposed to look like or anything..

that said, while it may completely invalidate the semi-intelligent point im trying to make, in the spirit of honesty and truthfulness, I miss boob physics.

im partial to great legs and better butts.. i get my tit fix in tv and video games.. [sniffle] i miss my DOA double Ds..

Well... You can still play DoA. For that.

Like, if suddenly you want to see a baseball play you don't go to the theatre.

I'm really glad AM2 didn't go fanservice all the way and didn't change VF's female cast into a host of plastic-looking babyfaced dolls with seemingly LIVING chests.

Actually you'd think Rumble Roses would be best for the Double D boob physics.

We all got our tastes, and that's never going to be the end of it. This is all healthy and in every game the majority of the characters, both male and female, will be designed for eye candy. As much as I hate to admit it, graphics plays a huge factor in all this. And there's enough players that won't play a game if the characters aren't attractive. Just look at that one moron that had a which characters are the most physically attractive to you thread and then only had a handfull of the characters because she didn't think that all the characters deserved representation. She's probably NOT playing it anymore.

oh god, i never expected that from the Virtua Fighter franchise..
There isnt a character in VF5 that would benefit from individual boob physics technology. They're just to realistic (compared to DOA) and something so tacky would ruin the aesthetic AM2 was going for..

Vanessa looks great the way they made her and i wouldnt change a thing, provided i still get my items.. the single most guilty pleasure in my game collection, more than boob physics..

To hell with ranks and orbs, i wanna more accessories, more pants and different color tops.. The only costume that stays basically the same is the A option with a red bra, BC and D get What Not To Wear makeovers daily!

PS: DOA is special all by itself.. I cant trade DOA in for 9 bucks (I spit on your trade-in values Gamestop [ptooey!], ripoff artists!) so i keep it in the collection..

It's only a matter of time before games, VF included, add "shorter nose", "rounder eyes", "stronger chin", "peck implants" customisations.

The Sims is the n°1 bestselling game of all times afterall...

create a character modes basically satisfy that need.. soul calibur had a decent version last go round but it got pretty lame after a while.. not flexible enough and created fighters were always subpar compared to the real game characters..

my only problem with user characters online is there's no way to know what they can do.. programming your own combos? no standard move palate for all? bad ideas..

Yeah, Create a Character mode belongs in wrestling games, not fighters. Still, the customization mode is the best solution for those that want custom characters since the moves list is already there.

i think virtua fighter 5 is hitting that sweet spot between in depth fighter and customizable brawling barbies.. doa went too far into eye candy, to shallow on the actual customizing and fighting skills
