VENUE FOR LONDON GATHERINGS

Hello guys, this is sham. You may recall we had some gatherings in my brothers flat along time ago, since then the flat has been loddged out to people. The current loddger will be moving out in about a week and i was thinking we could use it as a venue for meets.

I discussed it with my bro and he said he we could rent it out at provided he got a minimum of £40 a week. I figured if there was 20 people at £2 per head then we could do this.

My bro layed a carpet so we could move or keep the bed to make more space. I could provide a 21" flat screen and 1 pal ps2 and im sure people will contribute tvs and ps2's.

If we did rent it out, in theory this would mean we could use it throughout the week but my bro said I would always have to be present due to nature of the activity. I would be willing to do this one day a week(saturday), like we did last time.

Seeing the sucess of the previous meets i think this could be really good. We could easily do league and tourneys with at least 3 machines running simultaneously.

If your up for this post here saying so. You will have to let me know quickly as it may get rented out to someone else.

I'm up for this in theory,
but I can forsee a few problems,
if 20 people can't make it all the time, I wouldn't mind paying extra for free games but not too much.

I'd be up for joining in sometimes, but I wouldn't be able to commit to every Saturday. Holy shit, that's a prime time dancing and drinking slot!

But yeah, I'd easily pay a few quid more to sit down and play against people who knew what they were doing. And Optimus as well I suppose.

I could bring my (Hori) stick no problem, and after I'd met a few more people I'd probably be comfortable bringing my PS2 as well.

But I couldn't commit to every Saturday. Have you even seen how good looking I am? It wouldn't be fair on the ladies /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

First meet will be on the 26th, so nothing this saturday.

Who will be contributing tvs/ps2s? At least we should get 1 more tv and ps2.

Ooh, sorry I didn't make it to the troc last week, I won't be able to make it tonight either. How annoying. I feel like I'm letting the community down by taking away their number one punch bag.

I can do the week after, though, if that's of any use.

well depending on where the flat is, i mite be able to lend u guys my 21 inch and ps2 with evo. but that solely depends on where the flat is.

 

Its in the East end. Exactly 5 minutes walk from Stepney Green station (District line) and about 15 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Station (Central line).

Its preferable to come from Stepney Green station as its just round the corner.

I recommend people come with someone whos been there before. Alternatively PM me for adress and directions as I will not be putting them online.

 

well i can definitly take a ps2 and evo but taking a 21 inch tv all the way east end from north londons a bit of a bastard. but i can bring a copy of evo and a ps2 definitly. also i can bring my hori stick, which albeit has seen better days is in good condition.
