Version C for Spring Release?

Yep, the AOU source was speaking of a new version on the booth and it has been seen as Version C.


The company is pushing big the VF franchise at AOU, worried by the Tekken6 competition. The company running a tournament with v.C the end system playoff.


News that T6 will make USA landfall hopefully pressure Sega to think about VF5.

They don't need to worry about Tekken 6. I know the trailer is too early to decide, bit right now Tekken 6 is in all aspects shit compared to VF5....

Still, we get the Virtua Fighter 5 ver.B for PS3.... man, this sucks! I want ver. C !

Hey, here is a thought. Do you think it would be possible for ver.C to be released in EU ver. since it's coming with the launch of PS3 there, at the end of March.

 

who cares if we get b or c? c is only interessting if u play arcade but we are not in japan so... IMHO

 

I though the PS3 version was C since they both where being develop at the same time.

 

so in the end wich version do we have on PS3?
If there are changes in balance (frame data on some moves) and/or in animation, than it's important IMHO, that we get ver.C.
There might be some more items as well.

 

PS3 version is version B. It's been announced time and time again.

 

version C: 360 I'm guessing, they'd be idiotic to release version B on the console if C's out in arcades already.

 

Depending on what the changes actually are, it would be extremely easy to patch the changes for either system.

It could easily be done anyway, the game itself doesn't need to have any online function for it to work. You just download the patch from PS3 Online and let it update the files on the harddrive and it's done. Heck, they could even distribute an Evolution like expansion this way.

It's all a matter if Sega wants to do it, and my guess is they won't.

 

There are words out and about regarding some new features for PS3's VF5 through future online updates in the method Jeneric described..... fingers crossed.

 

Here's hoping C is more of a real version update than B was.

 

I would most certainly hope that you ps3 owners are able to update to ver c. otherwise it's Sega being Sega. Good luck.

Hopefully they will provide a patch for the game then....hopefully.

 

Oh screw Sega if true... if it is just another costume update, sega is really skimping out. The game has been out for almost a year now. They should have found out what properties need to be tweaked for balance... or else maybe they are finding they like the balance? I know initially everyone was saying that El Blaze was just trash, but now videos are showing El Blaze owning it up, with a lot of the top players trying him out too.

 

Version B Revision 1 is out in arcades now. The only thing I noticed was new enemies in Knockout Trial and of course, new items.
