Versus City Upgraded to UBB.threads 6.4

The Versus City forums have been upgraded to UBB.threads 6.4. Here are some of the new features:

<ul type="square">[*]Added a new calendar system that can be used for showing public/private events and birthdays. Along with the calendar we have added finishing touches such as birthday icons next to user's names on their birthday. Also, VF events/tournaments will be added to the calendar.
[*]Added in an option when viewing a user's profile to ignore this user. Posts from ignored users will still be shown to preserve the flow of a conversation, however the body of ignored user's posts will be set to "You are ignoring this user."
[*]Added a new option to allow users to select from a predefined set of avatars for their picture, similar to the way this is done in UBB.classic and UBB.x. This is currently disabled
[*]Polls are entirely rewritten. Polls now can have multiple questions, a start and end time, and other options. Unlike the public beta, in this final release polls are upgraded properly. This is currently disabled
[*]Reworked and expanded the search engine, adding many new options including keyword and advance search queries.
[*]Further efficiency work done on the queries in showflat, show threaded, and poslist.php.
[*]"Mark all read" and "my Cookies" is now in "My Home".
[*]Added a new table cell on the postlist page to display the hot topic icons, sticky posts, posts with polls, closed topics, or posts with attachments.
[*]Added a new icon on the postlist screen in the new table cell that helps designate topics that are attached to a calendar event.

I'll be adding in the instant commands shortly. If you experience any problems in the meantime, please let me know in this thread.

 

Don't be surprised if you suddenly see that all posts marked as unread. As part of some database maintenance I had to do, this was an unfortunate but necessary side effect.

To get back up to date easily, use the "Mark All Read" feature found under "My Home".

After that, at the bottom of the Main Index you can use the "View Recent Messages" (past 24hrs, 48hrs, 7 days) to quickly go through posts you may have missed.

 

Instant Commands are working again.

No you're not seeing things. I've disabled them again as I think they're meaningless.

 

You may have noticed the following error on the main page, above the side bar greeting, since the upgrade:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/www/users/vfighter/index.php:24) in /usr/www/users/vfighter/versuscity/ubbt.inc.php on line 572

It doesn't affect anything, and you'll find that if you go to versus city then return to the main page again, the error goes away.

I hope to have it fixed soon.

edit: I'm removing the sidebar greeting/login on the main page until I get it fixed.

That's just the way post tracking is updated I'm afraid. You must visit the forum list in order for the tracking to get updated.

 

I've redesigned the form layouts for new posts, replies, private messages, etc. Basically moved all the formatting stuff over to the side for easier access, and less scrolling.

Let me know if anything's broken.
