4 man co-op with the integration of team up moves Streets of Rage style.

Someone has got to bring Streets of Rage to 3D just as effectively as Nintendo brought Zelda and Metroid to 3D. I know it can be done.

I remember Tekken 3 having a force mode. That was sort of the idea, but the game I want has to be a lot better than that. What I want is a true successor to streets of rage series on Genesis. The best attempt so far was Gekido on the Playstation. The VF team really knows what they are doing, when it comes to fighting games. I bet they could make an old school beat em up type of game with some really deep fast paced gameplay.

Who else want's to see it? Let your voices be heard!

Anyway - (sorry to go off topic on your thread!)

I agree with you - there needs to be a good scolling beat em up on home console! Spike-Out in the arcade was very good when it came out and it's gutting that it never got a home release.

Metroid Prime is imo the best example of transplanting a 2D game to 3D - the reason I think it's the finist example is because it retains ALL of the atmosphere of the past Metroid games, adds a lot of new gameplay mechanics without losing anything which makes Metroid so good to play.

A new Streets Of Rage/Bare Knuckle would have to retain the atmosphere of the past gamesin the same way - the music is VERY important! What I would love to see most is a new Streets Of Rage with command moves and combos, juggles, off-the-floor attacks and loads of pickups like Capcom's Alien vs Predator.

There should be more command attacks, defensive and evasion options than previously expected in a game like this and due to the increase in hardware performance I would love to see scripted events which occur during the stages making it seem like there is a lot happening (stuff like cars smashing into the play area/through walls and enemies jumping out at you) - all of this coupled with a clever graphical/artwork style which sums up the atmosphere of the series and it's music would be heavy!

We can dream - but it'll never happen, people nowadays dont want to play involving games - unless you can get from start to finish with minimal skill/knowledge *and 1 button* people arent interested LOL!

At least we have Viewtiful Joe! ^_^ That game is a work of genius!

Yeah. SpikeOut is all you need. I wish Sega would either release it on console or make a real sequel. Spiker's Battle sucked ass and really wasn't a sequel. SlashOut is good, but it got boring and not as satisfying as SpikeOut. Hell, all I really want is some new stages. Don't really have to change much else.

As far as I'm concerned, SpikeOut is _the_ only good 3D beat-em-up game. Still very hard to beat and I've been playing it for over 4 years now. If you can, I suggest playing it again. It's really fun making up your own combos and cooperating with the other players to blast the bosses around like a ping pong ball. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had never heard of SpikeOut before today, but it is coming to Xbox. There is still no release date. It is called SpikeOut Extreme. How does it compare to Gekido? My main gripe with Gekido is the weak blocky graphics.
