Do a G-cancelled kick (repeatedly, to be sure) while the other character is doing high reversal, and you get a reversal jam - the character is frozen, and you can do nasty stuff to him/her - Akira, Dural. No reversal jam in VF1.

Yes, by VF1 Pai.

To answer your question, the crescent is a general term for anyone's K+G attack (you may have also heard it called a spinkick).
On 12, you may have misunderstood, I meant only attacks that are almost identical to just PPP.
