    anyone remember this vid:

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KWkifERzM00"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KWkifERzM00" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

y'know i still miss the elevated terrain in vf3....the stages were much more interesting.

The varying terrain was awesome, but at the same time, really helped shape tiers more and was probably tougher to balance the game around. That video is awesome, btw lol. Also, Falling Edge showed me one with Kage winning and this random object, like a trashcan lid/rock/whatever falls on his head in the end lol. That too is priceless.

VF3 still is superior in a few ways to all the other VFs.

yep, for me the key was the series director...yu suzuki.

he directed vf1, 2 and 3but only acted as producer on vf4 and had no input into vf5.

as good as vf5 is it hasn't really moved forward from vf4 in any significant way.

I read somewhere that the port of the Dreamcast of Virtua Fighter 3 was not developed by AM2, but another developer named Genki. I honestly think that Taka-Arashi was a character that should never been develop when getting the ideas of new fighters.[/size]

that's correct, genki handled the conversion. it was far from perfect, suffering from broken shadows and minor slowdown issues.

^Really? I never noticed that. Mind you it's been a very long time since I've played 3TB.

I reckon 3TB had better backgrounds than 4 or 5. I don't mean the mulit-level arenas themselves, I mean the actual backgrounds were just a bit more interesting. Although purpose built arenas make more sense than a shop roof lol.

I looked at one of the other video's from the youtube options. It was the one that said Dumpeg combo video's or something like that. It had a very interesting Kage combo.
