Interesting...games played out of 20? By whom?

 

At this point in time, I'm not sure what magazine this is from (Famitsu?), or when the chart was published (I'm assuming it's ver.C). I also have no idea whether this is based on Famitsu editors playing 100 games for each character vs another character, based on Japanese Supreme King-class players playing vs each other, or the entire VF.net database of match records. When I get more info, I'll post a followup.

 

I would assume it's VF.net data, that they don't publish to normal subscribers -- just a magazine. Also to note -- that's only going to work on machines that are connected... there's quite a few machines that are not connected to VF.net, but you can still use your card.

When you go to the game center, You can see the character usage chart of that specific machine.

 

this chart is identical in organization to the character stats in the bookkeeping section of the service modes for all of the other arcade VF's. so, likely that either this is from a specific VF4 machine or possibly from the vf.net database.

 

I got an update from Yusuke, he forgot which JP mag this was from (it's not Famitsu), but the magazine editors invited a bunch of 10th dan and higher players to get together and play a slew of matches and then took the data off that machine. I don't think they got all the stats from the entire VF.net DB.

i can't really read the ranking, could you see if i got this correct?

did i get that right?

doesn't seem right, especially since Shun is all the way down there, but i guess this shows how even though we can say all we want, that VF4 really is a matter of skill, as it matters 10x more than the character.

 

Makes sense to me --- finding a Shun in the arcade these days is a bit difficult.

 

But do you see a lot of Jeffrys or Sarahs? And few Wolfs or Aois?

 

well, considering where i live, i'd be lucky to find any GOOD competition at the golfland i go to, so if we were to do rankings at where i play, that'd be even more jacked up...this is the US after all...geez, when are people going to realize that VF's worth more than it looks?(oh yeah, i forgot, i'm living in button mashing heaven)

 

From the four inquired about, I'd say I see more Wolves, then Sara's, the Jeffry, and then Aoi. I'm a decent fighter against Wolf, but a Jeffry knocked down my Aoi yesterday. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif Need more practice against him.
